WOD UP, BERLIN? #3
About This Competition
WOD UP, BERLIN? #3 is a Team Fitness Competition Event that brings together all Boxes in Berlin and will take place on 25th of November.
This year WOD UP, BERLIN? will have 30 Teams competing and may be looking also for two devisions - RX and INTERMEDIATE.
WUB? will keep the same Team format (2 Male and 2 Female athletes) and workouts that are designed for each skill level, keeping more challenging exercises for the last workouts.
Ready to register your Team?
>> 1. REGISTRATION:
September 1st – September 30th - all boxes from Berlin, Germany and Europe can register their Teams to get ready for online Qualification workouts and fight for 10 Team spots at the WOD UP, BERLIN? #3. 20 Team spots will receive Boxes from Berlin based on Registration from August 1st till September 1st.
September 1st - September 30st - early bird registration
Registration fee is 20 Euro.
Oktober 1st - Oktober 14th - late team registration
Registration fee is 40 Euro.
When registered for online qualification workouts, there are no divisions! The best 10 Teams (5 from RX and 5 from Intermediate devision) will have their spot at the Event.
>> 2. QUALIFIERS:
Qualifier no 1 will be released Oktober 1st and scores should be submitted till Oktober 14th.
Qualifier no 2 will be released Oktober 8th and scores should be submitted till Oktober 14th.
The qualifiers are individual and Team workouts and the combined score will determine the team’s overall placement.
The workouts need to be recorded and the video submission standards are the same as during the Open. No late video submision and video recordning with bad camera placement and not recorded based on Open standarts will not be accepted or will have penalty points.
Only a limited number of teams will advance to the live competition and pay the 80€ fee.
>> 3. COMPETITION:
November 25th:
30 Teams - 20 Teams from Boxed in Berlin and 10 Teams (5 RX and 5 Intermediate) from Online Qualification will battle for a spot on the podium.
>> 4. EVENT:
ALL TEAMS should be ready to complete 5 workouts and 'Expect the unexpected' has never rang more true!
>> 5. PRICES:
There will be special prices from Reebok, Braineffect and Foodspring.

1st Place: 400 Euro
2nd Place: 200 Euro
3rd Place: 100 Euro

2ND WOD UP, BERLIN? #3 ONLINE QUALIFICATION WORKOUT IS
combination of 10 min AMRAP and 3 min AMRAP ->
10 MIN AMRAP

In first 10 min AMRAP mixed pair (male and female) work together and switch with other mixed pair after each round doing all movements synchronised.
It is workout with running clock, so when 10 min work is over athletes (mixed pair) can start with 3 min amrap of synchronised toes to bar.
Workout setup:
- Mixed pair has one female and one male barbell with plates.
- Athletes are facing each other so that they can assure if the movement standards are met.
- Both team members need to face camera when they are doing burpees, so on validation of the videos is seen that movement standards have been met.
- Note that mixed pair should tap other athlete when switching the rounds.
Team score for this workout is reps completed in AMRAP (2.1) and AMRAP (2.2) workout.

Each Team Athlete should choose one workout based on his strength, use prescribed workout weight and movement standards.
Weight should be filmed before and after the workout.
We suggest all team athletes to place the camera and film the workout in the way as it is shown in workout description, to allow each video validation as best as posible.
Workout score is the Summary Time of all 4 workouts.
