Risen Strength Gauntlet 2023
About This Competition
Get ready for battle and to throw down the gauntlet at Risen Strength!
ABOUT:
This will be our second year for the Gauntlet at RSCF. This year we are having an individual competition and a pairs competition.
The individual competition will be on Friday (evening), May 12th. This competition will include one Gauntlet style workout.
The same sex pairs competition will be on Saturday, May 13th. This competition will include three workouts to test your endurance and strength. The day will end with the fourth and final duel, the Gauntlet.
DIVISIONS:
- Dragons (Heavy and Hard)
- Maverick (Light and Fast)
- Griffins (Masters - average age 50+ years)
- Phoenix (Teens - ages 13 to 15)

The fourth and final duel, the Gauntlet, will be revealed on competition day.
The Individual Guantlet workout will be released, March 31st.
To compete in the DRAGON division athletes should be able to complete the following:
- The Melee Complex (3 deadlifts + 2 HPC + 1 jerk)
- wall walks
- dumbells & kettlebells
- 100/75# sandbag
- thrusters (for load)
- echo bike
- shuttle runs
- deadlifts (heavy!)
- pull-ups or bar muscle-ups**
To compete in the MAVERICK division athletes should be able to complete the following:
- hang clean & jerks (for reps)
- wall walks (scaled)
- dumbbells
- 53/35# kettlebell swings
- 75/50# sandbang
- thrusters
- echo bike
- shuttle runs
- pull-ups or scaled bar muscle-ups**
To compete in the GRIFFIN (MASTERS) division athletes should be able to complete the following:
- hang clean & jerks (for reps)
- wall walks (scaled)
- dumbbells
- 53/35# kettlebell swings
- 75/50# sandbang
- thrusters
- echo bike
- shuttle runs
- pull-ups or scaled bar muscle-ups**
To compete in the PHOENIX (TEENS) division athletes should be able to complete the following:
- hang clean & jerks (for reps)
- wall walks (scaled)
- dumbbells & kettlebells
- 75/50# sandbang
- thrusters
- echo bike
- shuttle runs
- deadlifts (heavy!)
- pull-ups or scaled bar muscle-ups**
**STOP! Are you worried about the pull-ups or bar muscle-ups? Well don't be! Those movements will provide a bonus opportunity for your team, however, there is no athlete work minimum. If you got them, great! But if not, they are not required.
SHIRTS & TANKS:
Register by April 22, 2023 and receive a free t-shirt or tank with your registration. Shirts and tanks will also be available for purchase after the event for $25 each.
REFUNDS & TRANSFERS:
All payments are final and there are no refunds, regardless of reason (injury, illness, change in work schedule, deployment, etc.). However, registrations can be transferred to another team/ athlete. Please contact us to make any changes to your registration.
