About This Competition

Winter Classic is an Annual Team Competition at West London CrossFit!

All levels welcome. Whether this is your first time competing in a CrossFit style competition or your 21st, you will for sure have a blast with our amazing community.

 

Team of 4 (2M2F)

3 Divisions Rx, Intermediate, Scaled

Free for all members.

Potluck lunch follows after the competition.

Workouts

Event 1 & 2 are completed within the same 15 minute window.

Each event is scored seperately.

Event 1
Accumulate designated calories on the Rower and the Echo Bike.
M/F pair for each implement.

For Total Time
100 Cal Row in M/F pair
100 Cal Echo Bike in M/F pair

*Rx: 100 cals, Intermediate 80 cals, Scaled 60 cals

Both pairs start at the same time. The finish time on each implement is recorded and they will be added for the final score.
The pair may split the calories however they want.

Tiebreak: The fastest off any implement.

As soon as the team completes Event 1, they will move to Event 2 area and starts the event.



Event 2
For Total Load
The team completes Power Snatch, Squat Snatch, Power Clean and Squat Clean for Maximum loads within the remaining time.
Each athlete chooses one of the four lifts.

*Scaled division is two Snatches any style and two Cleans any style.

Each athlete chooses one of the four lifts.
The barbell is unloaded at the beginning of the event.
Only one athlete is allowed to lift at any given time.
Athletes may help each other with loading the bar.
The barbell collars must be on.
There is no limit to the number of attempts each athlete gets.
Athletes must declare the weight they are attempting prior to each lift.
The load may increase or decrease.

Tiebreak: Event 1 score

Event 3
Accumulate 80 synchronized reps of Hang Power Cleans For Time, starting every 2 minutes in M/F pairs.

*DU reps: Rx 50 DU, Intermediate 35 DU, Scaled 50 SU
*Box Jump Overs: Rx 24/20”, Intermediate 24/20”, Scaled 20/14” with step up allowed
*Hang Power Clean: Rx 185/125, Intermediate 135/95, Scaled 95/65


M/F pair starts every 2 minutes. Each athlete completes the designated number of DU and Box Jump Overs then the pair accumulates as many synchronized Hang Power Cleans as possible within the 2 minute window.

When 2 minutes is up, the first pair stops and returns while the second pair begins working. Each pair will have up to 4 intervals to work (8 total intervals).


DU and Box Jump Overs do not have to be synchronized.
Scaled division may choose to do Single Unders or Double Unders.
Box Jump Overs must be with a step down each rep.
Scaled division may choose to do Box Step Overs.
Hang Power Clean must start with a barbell in a hang position with knees and hips fully extended, and received in the front rack position in the above pararel squat.
The rep is credited when the athlete reaches the full extension in their knees and hips with a barbell in the front rack position.
Hang Power Cleans are considered synchronized when both athletes have the barbell in the front rack position with knees and hips fully extended at the same time.
Only the synchronized reps will count towards the score.

10 Synchro DB Snatch L (All athletes)
10 Synchro DB Snatch R (All Athletes)
10 Synchro DB Thruster L (All athletes)
10 Synchro DB Thruster R (All athletes)
10 Synchro Burpees (All athletes)

*T2B: Rx/Intermediate T2B, Scaled Hanging Knee Raises
*C2B: Rx C2B, Intermediate Pull Up, Scaled Jumping Pull Up
*DB weight: Rx 50/35, Intermediate 40/30, Scaled 35/25


Any pair starts on the pull up bar and completes 10 Synchronized T2B. The reps are considered synchronized when both athletes are at a full extension at the same time and the athletes’ feet make contact with the pull up bar at the same time. For Hanging Knee Raises, both athletes must be at a full extension at the same time and the athletes’ knees are above their hips at the same time.

The second pair then completes 10 Synchronized C2B. The reps are considered synchronized when both athletes are at a full extension at the same time and the athletes’ chests make contact with the pull up bar at the same time. For Pull Up and Jumping Pull Up, both athletes must be at a full extension at the same time and the athletes’ chins are above the horizontal plane of the pull up bar at the same time.
Then all 4 athletes will complete 10 Synchronized DB Snatch on the left arm, 10 Synchronized DB Snatch on the right arm, 10 Synchronized DB Thrusters on the left arm, and 10 Synchronized DB Thrusters on the right arm, 10 Synchronized Burpees.

DB Snatches are considered synchronized when everyone’s DB are on the floor at the same time and all four athletes reach the full extension with a DB overhead at the same time.

DB Thrusters are considered synchronized when all athletes are in a below parallel squat with a DB in a front rack position at the same time and all athletes reach the full extension with a DB overhead at the same time.

Burpees are considered synchronized when all athletes' chest and thighs are on the ground at the same time and they reach a full extension in the knees and hips with hand above head while jumping simultaneously.

In the subsequent rounds, different pairs in any combination can complete T2B and C2B, as long as the pairs will complete the round.


Tiebreak: The time when Round 3 is completed
