About This Competition

Welcome back to the 2nd installment of the GET WRECKED GAMES here at Crash Proof CrossFit! This year, think Spartan Race 🤝 CrossFit 🤝 Get Wrecked Games.

As many of you are probably aware, on July 27, 2023, a vehicle traveling South on West Main St ran off the road and crashed through our entire building, thankfully, when it was empty. 

Eight months later, on March 11, 2024, we were blessed to re-open our doors and resume life and business back inside, better than ever. We have chosen to embrace the 'Get Wrecked' aspect of our journey, knowing that through it, we are stronger, better, and more capable than ever to serve our people and community. 

So join us, no matter where you are from or what gym is your home for fitness, in a fun day of a partner-style, CrossFit based race through 4 zones all the way to the finish line where you will be given your finisher medal and t-shirt.

*No deadline on substituting out partners
*Workout zones will be slow released, with all being known 1 week prior to event date.

Workouts

🏋️‍♂️ How it flows:

* Both partners must establish their max 1 Clean + 2 front squats within the 8-minute window. As long as the lift has begun prior to the 8 minute time cap, the athlete can continue in the attempt.

  • Each lifter gets unlimited attempts but must complete their lift within the time cap.
  • The barbell must start from the floor.
  • You may power clean or squat clean the first rep.
  • If you choose to squat clean your first rep, you will still need to do two front squats.
  • A good lift means elbows in front of the bar, hips and knees fully extended at the top of the clean, full-depth (hips below parallel) in the front squat and full extension at the top.
  • The total score is the sum of both athletes' highest successful lifts. Example, if both athletes successfully complete a 275# lift and a 225# lift in the complex, total score will be 500#.
  • Each athlete works up to their heaviest successful lifts.
  • They can alternate attempts or go at their own pace.

15-Minute AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible)

* Partner A: 20/14 Cal Bike for RX & INT, 16/10 scaled
* Partner B: Max Reps of:
* Odd Rounds: Burpee Box Jumps (30”RX/24”Int/20”scaled/Adaptive(As Needed)
* Even Rounds: Russian Kettlebell Swings (70/53) (53/35) (35/26) (As Needed)

How It Works:
* Partner A rides the Echo Bike for calories while Partner B performs as many reps as possible of the designated movement.
* Once Partner A completes their calories, they switch places.
* Continue alternating for 15 minutes, switching exercises every round.
* Score = Total reps accumulated from burpee box jumps and kettlebell swings.

🔥 Modification Options:
* Adjust box height or KB weight based on ability.

Format: 4 sets each ( 15 mon cap) You go, I go (Partner completes 1 full round, then partner goes)

Movements:

  1. Pull-ups – 10 reps
  2. Lunges – 20 steps (35/25 db for RX) (body weight for Int and SC))
  3. 50 double unders or 75 single unders

How It Works:

  • Partner A completes 10 pull-ups, 20 lunges, and then their jump ropes, before Partner B begins
  • If both partners complete their 3 rounds under the time cap, score is time.
  • If time capped, score is reps completed.

Scaling:

  • Chest to Bar (RX), Chin Over Bar Pullups (INT), Ring Rows (SC), Double DB Strict Press (ADA)
  • 35/25 DB Lunges (RX), Body Weight (INT & SC), Air Squats (ADA)
  • Double Unders (RX), Single Unders (INT & SC), SPlit Ropes (ADA)
