Team Edwards Squadron Throwdown
About This Competition
Team Edwards, get ready for the first Team Edwards Squadron Throwdown coming Oct. 13, 2023.
This event will pit teams against each other in a T.E.S.T of their physical strength, endurance and grit to determine the fittest squadron. Do you think your team has the "right stuff?"
Rules of Engagement:
- Squadron Team can consist of MILITARY, CIVILIAN and DEPENDENTS.
- 4 members will make up the COMPETITION team with at least 1 member of the opposite sex.
- Each team may ADD 2 OPTIONAL team members to serve ONLY as permanent replacement in the event of injury or unavailability.
- Team will be disqualified if 4 members (with at least 1 member of the opposite sex) are not able to progress to the next workout.
- ALL members must be affiliated with the same Squadron.
- 2 workouts will be released to competitors 3 weeks prior to event and the rest will be revealed on day of competition.
- Teams must be registered prior to 8 Sep for FREE Premium Shirt.
- Winning Squadron will hold custom TEST trophy until the next annual competition.

Workouts
AMRAP 8 min
-- Tire flips for reps + Echo Bike for Calories
-- 2 team members flip their individual tires (one heavier and one lighter tire) for reps there and back, while one team member performs a double kettlebell front rack static hold and another team member will bike for calories. If the member holding the kettlebells drops kettlebells from the front rack position, then tire flips and bike must stop until member reestablish the front rack hold. All members can swap roles at will.

NOTES
Athletes A & B swap with Athletes C & D after 7 minutes
Athletes at the rowing station may switch at will
Athletes at the second station must complete a full round prior to swapping and working athletes must advance forward in the workout lane with walking lunges and run back to start to tag out other athlete

-Buy-in for each member:
--24/18 calorie bike
--24 Single dumbbell weighted box step over at 20 inches 50/35
120 sandbags over shoulder 100/50#
-Each member must complete the buy-in before they can start helping complete sandbags over shoulder. Once a member completes the buy-in, the next member can only start the buy-in when the previous athlete completes one sandbag over shoulder repetition.
-With every 20 sand bag repetitions, the team must advance forward in the competition lane the designated distance towards the finish line.
- Score is best time, if not completed by Time cap score tiebreaker is Total reps of sandbag
-AMRAP in 15 mins
--20 Deadlifts 205/125#
--20 Barbell-Facing Burpees
--400 Meter Run Relay
NOTES
-- one member must be running at all times and every member must run before a member can run again.
-- remaining 3 members on competition floor complete FULL rounds of deadlifts/burpees
-- one member works on movements at a time and must relay to the finish line to tag out other members
-- as a round is completed barbell must be advanced forward the designated distance towards the finish line
