About This Competition

The Aussie Throwdown is all about the community. 

It's for absolutely everyone!!

It's all about YOU, we create the big stage for you

& make you feel like a superstar.

Categories include:
RX - Male/Female
Intermediate - Male/Female
Masters - Male/Female
Scaled - Male/Female

Cost:
$39.95

Workouts:
1 workout release every 2 weeks for 6 weeks. Workouts may have 2 parts. Over the 6 weeks there will be up to 6 scoring opportunities total

Release 1

Release: 20th FEB – 11am
Submit: 4th MARCH – 10am

Release 2
Release: 5th MARCH – 11am
Submit: Open extension

Release 3
Release: 19th MARCH – 11am
Submit: Open extension

Online registration closes:
March 4th @ 10:00AM

THE 2020 FINAL:
2 Day event!

Date: January 16th & 17th 2021
Location: CrossFit Richmond in VICTORIA

Look what's new!
The *Super* Online Qualifier consists of multiple scored workouts, 1 being release every 2 weeks for 6 weeks, These tests are based on the 6 tests of the International Functional Fitness Federation

The top 14 in each division (RX, Intermediate, Masters & Scaled ) will be invited to compete at the finals in July

AFFF Sanctioned:
Top 2 RX male and female finishers from the 2020 Final will receive an invite to the '2021'

This qualifier is also the same online qualifier for the AFFF and MastersHQ Online Qualifier!  

What you need to do to enter more than one qualifier: Register for the event of your choice. (You can do all 3)
Choose your correct division
Complete the workout
Submit your score to all platforms

Test 1 - AEROBIC CAPACITY

17mins 

Max meters on rower

Buy in each minute - 5 lateral burpees over rower
(First minute MUST begin with burpees)


*TEST 1 - AEROBIC CAPACITY & TEST 2 - STRENGTH may be completed separately and submitted any time before March 4th @10am AEST

Test 2 - STRENGTH

'Push/Pull'
20min on the clock 


5RM Deadlift


5RM Bench Press

*Deadlift and Bench can be completed in any order as long as
you find a 5rm for both within the 20 minutes

*TEST 1 - AEROBIC CAPACITY and TEST 2 - STRENGTH
may be completed separately and submitted any time before March 4th @10am AEST

Test 3 - Gymnastic Skill

3 x 3min AMRAP
3min on 1min rest - 3 sets (11mins)


60 double unders 
20 handstand pushups
10 candlestick squats

Test 4 - Mixed Modal 

For time - 10min cap

50 HANG power clean
40 wall ball

20 stationary front rack/rear stepping lunge

No muscle ups!!

*SCALED, the test is complete after the lunges! 

*INTERMEDIATE & MASTERS, DO NOT STRESS if you can no do muscle ups...It's programmed in a way that most (almost all) of you will not get to this point (If you do, that is an exceptional effort!) 

TIE BREAK: RX, Intermediate & Masters
Athletes must take a tie break time after the 20 lunges are complete!
