Winter Solo 2022 Individual Fitness Competition


Strength - Endurance - Willpower - Athleticism

Move4Life is BACK AGAIN with its premier fundraising event, the Winter Solo individual competition.  Each workout will put your athleticism, strength, endurance, willpower, and mental toughness to a challenging fitness test. Each competition event features one activity that demonstrates the capabilities of the Military and First Responders.

Format: Individual

WODs: There are three(3) WODs; we are considering the addition of a floater WOD. WODs will be announced via our IG and FB pages in September, October, and November 2022.  The top 5 athletes in each division will advance to a Final WOD.

Registration Deadline: Midnight November 26, 2021

Event Date: Saturday, December 10, 2022

Host Site: Top Tier Columbia - 6570 Dobbin Rd Columbia MD 21045

Parking location(s): | Limited parking at the TTC parking lot | Overflow at the Loyola University parking lot (8550 McGaw Rd)

Pricing: $100 per athlete


NO REFUNDS: If you cannot make the event after registering for some reason, it is your responsibility to find someone who can take your place.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: be prepared to provide your one-to-two word 'code name' during registration. Think of it as your ‘battle code persona’ you want the world to know you by.  We will use your registration name on your placard if you do not provide a code name.

PRIZES: Male and Female Rx Podium finishers will receive cash payouts ($300-$200-$100). All other divisions will also receive valuable rewards, including the Ragnar Axe for all Male & Female 1st place finishers (ALL DIVISIONS).

Workouts

WOD 3

"Double Up"

Athletes will complete two rounds for time consisting of the following movements: 

  • 100 Double Unders 
  • 25 Thrusters
  • 15 Chest-To-Bar Pull-Ups*

8-minute Time Cap

WOD 2

"Seven Minutes in Heaven"

Athletes will complete a continuous couplet of the following movements in 7 minutes (AMRAP-7).

  • 10 Toes 2 Bar*
  • 5 Burpee Box Jump Overs*

Floater WOD

"The Tie Breaker"

Athletes will push a weighted sled 80-meters for time. 

The sled's empty weight is 55#; athletes will add the following weight amount to the sled are as follows:*

  • Women's Rx - 155#
  • Women's Scaled & Masters - 125#
  • Men's Rx - 225#
  • Men's Scaled and Masters - 180#

A total of two attempts will be allowed; the best time is recorded.

WOD 1

“Whey Over Your Head”

Athletes will have 8 Minutes to find a 3RM Overhead Squat. This must be three consecutive good rep squats. You must perform 3 CONSECUTIVE reps.*
