Workouts
Biads (4 min cap)
Men and women will take turn racing down the GRID. Each same sex pair must complete 2 stations of each element before they move on to the next quadrant. A total of 4 elements (8 stations) must be completed before a pair can cross the finish line. Work may be split between athletes as need, HOWEVER, reps must be completed at each specific station before moving on.
echo (5 min cap)
Two men and two women will take turns on the floor in order to complete the specified number of reps at 4 stations lined up down the GRID. After one pair has completed the first wave, they will have :30 to rest and then must repeat the same test before the next same sex partners take the floor.
Jack and Jill (4 min cap)
All 4 athlete must work together to complete the total number of reps in this gymnastics bias race. Only 1 male and 1 female may be on the floor at a time with only 1 athlete completing reps at any given time.
Partner Forward (4 min cap)
9-7-5-2
Teams will complete 4 rounds of a descending rep couplet as weights and gymnastics skill increase. One male and one female will work together to clear each quadrant before the next set of reps in the proceeding quadrant can begin. One player must be standing inside the hashmarks at all times for any reps to count.
Relay (6 min cap)
Each team must complete 8 elements as they move down the GRID. Reps can be split between all 4 athletes as needed. HOWEVER, once any 1 athlete completes the LAST REP of second completed station, they must run back to the start line, 4 point touch behind the line (hands and feet) and sprint past the finish line. After each element the athletes must tag in a different team member before the team is allowed to move on to the next element (I.e. atheletes are not allowed to move on from one station to another without returning to the start line and swapping team members.) Additionally, once an athlete has FINISHED the LAST REP for their second time and is past the finish line they may not come back in for any additional elements.
Example
- Athlete 1 completes 10 out of 10 burpees at station 1 - They must run back to the finish line to tag in a different athlete.
- Athlete 2 completes 9 of 10 reps in station 2 - They then run back and tag in Athlete 1
- Athlete 1 completes 1 rep in station 2 to finish out the 10 reps
- Athlete 1 must then sprint back to the start line, four point touch then sprint to the finish line.
- Athlete 2 is therefore still viable to complete 2 more stations as they were not the athlete to finish the last rep of any one station.
Strength Ladder (3 min cap)
Each team will have 3 minutes to clear as many bars as possible in this test of raw strength. Men must snatch the barbell while women must clean the barbells. Each athlete will be granted one attempt at a bar. If a rep is failed, they must clear the floor and return to the start line to allow the next athlete to enter the GRID. The team with the most accumulated points will win the race.
The tie breaker will be determined by the most weight accumulated by the female athletes on any one team.
