FAQs

Where and when will the workouts be released? 

The workouts will be released on our instgram @physica_fitness

WOD 1 - 22nd April, WOD 2 - 23rd April, WOD 3 - 24th April.

 

What are the standards for the divisions? 

• RX Men - Dumbbell 22.5kg, Kettlebell 24kg, Toes to Bar, Double Unders, Bar Muscle Ups.
• RX Women - Dumbbell 15kg, Kettlebell 16kg, Toes to Bar, Double Unders, Bar Muscle Ups.
• Scaled Men - Dumbbell 15kg, Kettlebell 16kg, Thrusters 40kg, Toes to Chest, Partner assisted pull-ups.
• Scaled Women - Dumbbell 10kg, Kettlebell 12kg, Thrusters 25kg, Toes to Chest, Partner assisted pull-ups.

Workouts

WOD 1

Standards / FAQ

Double unders / Skips

If an athlete trips at any rep before complete they start again, unlimited attempts until you complete required reps. RX'd 50 double unders / Scaled 100 single unders

BikeERG

Partner cannot get on bike until previous exercise is complete, judge will say go. (athlete can turn on screen ready)

Wall Balls

9 ft Scaled Men & Women. 10 ft RX Men. 6kg Women / 9kg Men

Burpee Box Jumps

Feet fully on the box, hips through and fully extended, jump or step down. Scaled can Jump or Step Up.

24" Men / 20" Women

Sync DB ALT Snatch

Athletes must alternate between left and right arm. Sync is judged by both fully extended at the top together, timing at the bottom doesn’t matter, both ends of the DB must touch the floor.  

Scaled Women 10kg / RX Women & Scaled Men 15kg / RX Men 22.5kg

Devil Press

Shoulder must touch the DB. 

Scaled Women 10kg / RX Women & Scaled Men 15kg / RX Men 22.5kg

Row 

Partner can sit on the rower but must not touch the handle until previous exercise is complete, judge will say go. (athlete can turn on screen ready)

WOD 2

Standards / FAQs

Athletes can load bar prior to the 8 minutes starting. All weight changes are completed by the team, you must state the total weight to judge before lift.

All lifts the bar starts from the floor & only one bar per team. 

MINIMUM increase in weight is 5kg (2.5kg) either side

You can in increase and decrease as necessary.

Thrusters

Before lift attempt athlete must clean the bar into start position, pause here to show judge weight is under control. Squat below parallel, one movement from the bottom to the top, full extension in the arms, head through. 

RX

Only one athlete can complete the snatch and one athlete complete the clean.

Clean

It can be any variation of power or squat clean. Must be fully stood up, elbows through, knees locked out.

Snatch

It can be any variation of power or squat snatch. Fully stood up arms locked out.

WOD 2.2

*Ignore Heat/Schedule for this workout, this is purely for scoring purposes. Refer to WOD 2 Heat & Schedule for correct timings*

 

Standards / FAQs

AMRAP - weight for the workout is half the athletes max lift. Teams will have 2 minutes from the end of the 8 minute max lift to set the bar up for the amrap. Teams can decide athlete order. 1 min between athletes amrap, teams to change weights if necessary. 

Thrusters

First rep from the floor can be a squat clean.

Squat below parallel, one movement from the bottom to the top, full extension in the arms, head through. 

Clean

It can be any variation of power or squat clean. Must be fully stood up, elbows through, knees locked out.

Snatch

It can be any variation of power or squat snatch. Fully stood up arms locked out.

WOD 3

*Heats will be created after WOD 2 based on current standings 

Heat 1 - scaled women places 13 - 16

Heat 2 - scaled women 9 - 12

Heat 3 - scaled women 5 - 8 

Heat 4 - RX men 4 - 5

Heat 5 - scaled men 1 - 4

Heat 6 - RX women 1 - 3

Heat 7 - RX men 1 - 3

Heat 8 - scaled women 1 - 4

Standards / FAQs

All movement have to be completed before moving on to the next movement, athletes can split the reps as desired.

Muscle ups

Fully extended at the top of the bar

Toes to bar

Feet have to come back past the rig and toes hit the bar

DB OH Lunges

Full extension in arm, knee has to touch the floor, athltes can do forward or reverse lunges

Scaled Women 10kg / RX Women & Scaled Men 15kg / RX Men 22.5kg

Sync Burpee Box DB Step Ups

1 rep is when both athletes are fully stood up, hips through on top of the box.

24" Men / 20" Women

Scaled

Partner assisted pull ups

Team members can grab their legs anyway to assist their partner, they don’t have to be assisted if athletes can do pull ups.

Toes to chest

Toes have to be in line with the chest

Goblet lunge

DB held near chest, knee has to touch the floor, athltes can do forward or reverse lunges

Scaled Women 10kg / RX Women & Scaled Men 15kg / RX Men 22.5kg

Sync Burpee Box DB Step Ups
