About This Competition
Welcome to GAME DAY - September Smash! A Functional Fitness Competition. This event is a same sex pairs fitness competition, so grab your gym besty and compete together in a fun, challenging fitness environment. GAME DAY is the perfect event to set a new PB, push the limits and challenge yourself to do better than you ever thought possible! Anyone is welcome to enter GAME DAY and take on the Elevate members, trainers and some of the local fitness athletes!
GAME DAY is a one day competition with an online qualifier to be completed before the day to organise a seeding heading into the comp, beginning at 7am on Saturday the 20th of September.
GAME DAY is a qualifying event for the ALLSTAR ALLIANCE PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIPS in Queensland. The winner of each division will punch their ticket to the championships!
GAME DAY - September Smash has THREE divisions available to athletes:
OPEN Division - This division is for our athletes who are looking to challenge themselves and have an amazing competition experience in competitive environment.
RX - This division is for the more skilled athlete, if you have done a few fitness competitions before or gym regularly pushing yourself hard then this is the division for you. Its going to take everything to be crowned GAME DAY Champion.
TEEN Division is for our competitive teens and friends who love their fitness and are looking to create great health and lifestyle habits in a fun, safe and encouraging fitness environment. AGES 10-16.
Use the athlete guide which will be on our social media to determine which level to enter.
Movement standards and workouts will begin to be released via our instagram page @game_day_hosted_by_elevate. Athletes will be contacted with heat times prior to the event. If you miss your heat a score of zero will be added to your team.
The same two athletes who begin the first workout must be the same two athletes used for all workouts. There is no substitution of athletes.There is a no refund policy for this competition.

Rapid Waterfall
8 Minute Time Cap
Athletes complete this workout in waterfall style. Athlete 1 completes the required work and then Athlete 2 begins there work.
Athlete 1 completes:
RX - 20 Toes to Bar - INT - 20 Leg Raises or 15 Toes to Bar
RX - 15 Box Jump Over INT - 15 Box Jump Over or Step Over
10 Clean and Jerk
RX - 15 Box Jump Over INT - 15 Box Jump Over or Step Over
RX - 20 Toes to Bar - INT - 20 Leg Raises or 15 Toes to Bar
Then Athlete 2 begins.
RX 60/43 INT 50/30.
RUN ROW WORM
14 MINUTE TIME CAP
BUY IN -
ATHLETE 1 = 1.35KM RUN - ATHLETE 2 = 2000M ROW
ONCE ATHLETE 1 COMPLETES THE RUN THEY CAN HELP WITH THE ROWER.
ONCE BOTH BUY INS ARE COMPLETE ATHLETES AMRAP FOR THE REMAINING TIME:
30 WORM PUSH PRESS
10M HANDSTAND WALK - RX
10M OVERHEAD LUNGE WALK - INTERMEDIATE - 22.5/12.5
1M HSW OR LUNGE WALK = 1PT
1 POINT PER PUSH PRESS.
NO MINIMUM WORK REQUIREMENT ON THE HANDSTAND WALK.
WORKOUT 2 - SNATCH AND LIFT
PART A - 8 MINUTE AMRAP
Athletes complete this workout round for round.
RX
30 Double Unders or 120 Skips
4 Hang Snatch 50/30
2 Overhead Squats 50/30
Intermediate
30 Double under or 90 Skips
4 Hang Snatch
2 Front Squats
PART B Commences as soon as the 8 Minute Time is reached.
Snatch and Lift PART B -
After the 8 Minutes of PART A runs out, PART B commences immediately.
5 MINUTE CAP to find:
Max Clean and Jerk for both Athletes.
