About This Competition

The ultimate test in athlete performance, UA COMBINE, is coming to Philippines – BIGGER and BETTER. As a first of its kind, the 1-day fitness competition challenges athletes to push their limits and benchmark their performance against other athletes in their country.

Competing athletes will go through 8 tests, challenging their Agility, Stamina, Vertical, Power, Endurance, Strength, speed, and Cognition. Points will be earned for each completed test and athletes will be ranked according to their results. At the end of the competition, one man and one woman in each country will be crowned the Champion for Combine 2023.

*You must be at least 16 years of age at the time of registration to participate in the UA Combine Competition 2023

Workouts

THE AGILITY STAR

6 BlazePod Pods will be laid out in a star shape. Starting at the home base in the centre of the star, tap the pod with your foot when it lights up, then return to the home base and tap the next pod that lights up. The goal is to tap out 15 pods in the fastest time.
 

Reactive Intelligence Wall

6 BlazePod Pods are positioned on a vertical wall and you must tap out as many blue coloured pods as possible in 30 seconds. Pods will expire after 2.5 seconds and watch out for the different coloured distraction pods that will try to catch you out. The test will immediately end after 3 foul strikes. The goal is to tap out as many pods in 30 seconds as possible without fouling out.
 

BEEP TEST

The ultimate test of cardio endurance, the beep test involves continuously running back and forth between two lines, 20m apart. The audio track dictates the pace and you must keep up or foul out. The first time you fall behind you will be given a yellow card. If you fail to catch up, a red card will see you foul out.
 

20M SLED PUSH

Using the Torque Tank M1 at a resistance level of 2 for Women with 40kg weight plates & 3 for Men with 60kg weight plates. The sled is pushed over a 20-metre course at maximum speed. The goal is to go as fast as you can.
 

40 YARD DASH

Beginning at the start line, race down a 40-yard lane as quickly as you can. The timer automatically starts when the timing system is triggered by your movement and finishes when your chest crosses the finish line triggering the timing system. The goal is to go as fast as you can.

PULL-UP BEEP TEST

Following the audio track, complete one strict pull-up each time the beep sounds until failure. No kicking, swinging, jerking or crossed legs is allowed. The final completed rep will be taken as the final score.
 

3RM BENCH PRESS

This is a specific repetition maximum (RM) test to prove what you can push for 3 reps. The goal is to push as heavy as you can for 3 continuous reps.
 

VERTICAL JUMP TEST

Standing on the Hawkin Dynamics Force Plates, place your hands on your hips, as the screen turns white, jump as high as you can without bringing your knees up. The goal is to jump as high as possible.
