About This Competition
Hey Fit Fam!
This will be a single-day, individual test of strength where you will be testing your 1 rep max Deadlift against all of your friends! The best part is, you'll be helping the doggos! Part of all the proceeds collected will be going straight to the Nevada Humane Society!
Athlete check-in will start at 9 am at Stimulus Health + Fitness, 870 Steneri Way, Sparks, NV 89431. Lifting will begin at 10 am! There will be 4 divisions total : Male/ Female/ Masters Male and Female (35+). Your score will be based on the ration of weight lifted : bodyweight. Every athlete will get 3 attempts so make sure you warm up! :)
We're also planning on having a DJ, food truck, and possibly some other surprises! :)

Workouts
* There will be one main bar that every athlete will use.
* Each athlete will receive 3 attempts to complete their best lift of the day.
* Athletes will start in order of their requested "Opener".
* After each attempt, the athlete will go to the Scorers table where they will confirm the lift and the athlete will designate their next attempt. After designation, the athlete can utilize the warm up area while they wait for their next weight.
* The bar will start loaded with the lowest opener of the competition and will continue to increase to the next desired weight (min : 5 lb increase).
* If an athlete wishes to attempt the same weight twice, they will fall to the back of the line of athletes waiting to attempt the given weight. If the athlete is the only one attempting that weight, they must follow themselves after the mandatory 1:00 transition/loading period.
* The competition will move along a running clock of 0:30 work periods followed by 1:00 transition/loading periods where the next athlete in line will prepare to approach the bar.
* Athletes must wait until the 0:30 work period begins to touch the bar. Going early may constitute a "no lift".
* Athletes must also wait for the Judge's "down" call and must control the bar back down to the ground.
* Athletes may not use straps.
