About This Competition

the fittest in hedland 2020


We are thrilled to have you register to our event.


This is an Online Fitness Comp hosted by Iron Worx gym in Port Hedland.


It will be 4 workouts in 4 weeks starting from May 17th. To make it achievable for everyone to do, it'll all be BODYWEIGHT movements.


Each week we will release the workout for you to complete. We will demonstrate the workout and the movement standards.


You will have 1 week to complete the workout. If you want, you can redo the workout as much times as you want to get a better score.


Competitors are to film themselves doing the workout and submit the video to us for review.


Scoring will be dependant on the workout ( number or reps, rounds, quickest time etc...)


Remember team, there is some awesome prizes up for grabs!!


Through your participation and registration you will be helping support the community you live and work in, as 50% of your registration fee will be going towards helping out small businesses across Port and South Hedland that have been affected due to COVID-19.

Workouts

DEATH BY BURPEES


EMOM ( Every minute on the minute)

1st Min, 1 Burpee

2nd Min, 2 Burpees

3rd Min, 3 Burpees

4th Min, 4 Burpees


etc etc...


Keep going until you cant complete the number of burpees in the minute.


Score will be the Round you were in ( 10th min = 10 rounds ) add number of burpees you finished on. ( completed 5 burpees in the 11th min)


Set your clock so it beeps every minute.


Movement Standards


Burpees : Start in the standing up position, jump down into a push up plank, chest and hips MUST touch the ground, jump up and clap above your head.

Score is TIME workout is completed.


Movement Standards


Air Squat : Hips fully extended at start of squat, when squatting down, hip crease must reach below knee height.


Situps : Feet together, both hands must touch behind head when flat on floor, and finish with both hands touching the floor in front of feet.


Push Ups : Both hands must come off the floor at the bottom of the pushup, hips and shoulder to rise at the same time.

20 min AMRAP ( As Many Rep As Possible )


20 metre Walking Lunge

50 Step Ups

20 Box Dips

50 Mountain Climbers


Score is NUMBER of Rounds you completed within the 20 minutes. If you didn't complete the last round, add up to the total number of reps you finished on. ( 20 mins done, you finished on 1 box step up, after you completed 5 FULL rounds, your score would be, 5 rounds plus 1 step up )


Walking lunge is scored per metre. So if you finished halfway through the lunges, your score would be, number of FULL rounds you completed plus 5 metres.


Movement Standards


Walking Lunge : Knees to touch ground every rep.


Step Ups : Step up to a object that is at least your knee height. Stand all the way up on top of the object until your hips are extended. Step down of the object, DONT jump down.


Box Dips : Use object you stepped up on for the dips. Elbows must start of full extended and finishing with elbows parallel to ground. Legs are to be straight out in front of you.


Mountain Climbers : Starting in a Push Up position, Squeeze and contract ab muscles, bring one knee up towards chest area, repeat with other knee.


VIDEO SUBMISSION RULES


Make sure video is continuous, spend few minutes before workout to show the exact distance with a tape measure for your Walking Lunge track.


Also show the height of object you will use for the Step Ups. Must be at least your KNEE HEIGHT.

Pike Push Up

V-Up

Pole Pistol Squats


4x 10m Shuttle Runs in between.


For example on the count of 3,2,1 go..

You'll perform 21 Pike Pushup, 21 V-Ups, 21 Pole Pistol Squats THEN 4x 10m Shuttle Runs.

18 Pike Pushup, 18 V-Ups, 18 Pole Pistol Squats THEN 4x 10m Shuttle Runs.

and continue on thru until you get to 3 reps of each movement and FINISH on the Shuttle Runs.


Score is the TIME taken to complete the entire workout.


Movement Standards


Pike Push Ups


Push Ups performed in the Pike position.

Head MUST touch the floor each rep.

No assistance from your legs.

Finish off with elbows extended at the top of the rep.


V-Ups


Both hands and feet to start on the floor.

Both hands MUST touch your shoe laces.

Both hands to finish above your head and touching ground.


Pole Pistol Squats


Using a pole or something similar to assist you.

Squat down on one leg until hips are at or below your knee height.

Finish with full hip and knee extension at the top of the rep.

Alternate reps.
