About This Competition

The 2018 Fortius Spring Games will be a team competition and a 2 DAY EVENT: 1 day indoors, 1 day outdoors!

This unique setup will give competitors a full weekend of "Regionals Style" competition, scaled for the rest of us!

There will be 3 divisions: Intermediate, Advanced, and Elite.  Programming provided by Multiple-time Regionals athlete Coach Daimino Stewart and along with Coach Jesse Malcomb.  Designed to ensure each division has clear skill definition to avoid "sandbagging" as much as possible.

The teams of 4 will be M,M,F,F.  There will be 5 events, spread out over the 2 days - testing every facet of ability.

40 alternating D-ball Cleans over Shoulder (Elite = 100/70, Adv = 70/50, Int = 50/30)
30 alternating lateral burpee box jump overs (Elite = 24”, Adv = 24”, Int = 20”)
20 hang cleans (Elite = 185/125, Adv = 155/105, Int = 125/85#)
10 shoulder-to-overhead

*2 barbells (one M, one F) for each team. During barbell work, one must hold one of the barbells in front rack position while other performs cleans / shoulder to overhead.

*There is no "minimum work requirement" for each teammate, except that for the Dball cleans and box jump overs, teammates must alternate each rep amongst each other.

M/M Pair – 2000M Row 
First M rows 250M while Second M does ~150 ft. Sled Pull + 150 ft Sprint, then switch back and forth until 2000M hit 
(Elite = 90/45#, Adv = 70/35#, Int = 45/25# sled)

after M/M finish the 2000M, then run to finish line - once they cross...

F/F Pair – 2000M Row 
First F rows 250M with Second F does ~150 ft. Sled Pull + 150 ft Sprint, then switch back and forth until 2000M hit 
(Elite = 90/45#, Adv = 70/35#, Int = 45/25# sled)

[16 Minute Cap]

- 8 Minutes to Establish a Max -

(3 attempts each person)

Female 1: Snatch (from floor) 
Female 2: Snatch (hang, below the knee) 
Male 1: Snatch (hang, above the knee) 
Male 2: Overhead Squat (from floor)

*2 scores, one for total female tonnage, one for total male tonnage

Notes: Two Bars (one male, one female) will be used. At 3,2,1..Go! Male 1 and Female 1 start at same time, thus each athlete will have about 4 minutes (although it's up to you how you divide the time). 3 attempts max per athlete - the other teammates may help load any bar.

Overhead squat is from the floor, thus anyway you wish to get the bar overhead to perform it is accepted (except it must be just you getting the barbell to overhead, teammates cannot assist or "handoff" the bar).
