About This Competition
Nexus Games, presented by Forge Games, is a team-based functional fitness competition built for everyday athletes — not just elite competitors. Taking place July 11th at ADNEC Exhibition Centre, Abu Dhabi, as part of Abu Dhabi Summer Sports, it brings together teams of two across three categories: Male/Male, Mixed, and Female/Female. Competing in “The Method” — 5 stations, 7 minutes on, 1 minute off — teams push through Run→Row, Dumbbells→Ski, Squats→Burpees, the Pain Cave, and a Heavy AF Unconventional Lift, testing every element of hybrid fitness in a high-energy, festival-style atmosphere with music, spectators, and a live leaderboard. Whether you’re chasing a podium finish or showing up to test yourself alongside a partner, Nexus Games is built around community, competition, and pushing past what you thought you could do. Expect a packed venue, a strong sense of camaraderie between teams, and a true test of strength, endurance, and grit from start to finish.
