About This Competition

SiD UK Champs 2023


The live final will take place at the NEC, Birmingham on Friday 14 July  - Sunday 16th July.

All competing divisions except Teen athletes will take part in a 3 day competition (Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and Sunday). Teens will take part in a 2 day competition across the weekend.

REGISTRATION AND BRIEFINGS
Registration and briefings will be onsite at the NEC during the morning on Friday 14 July with registration between 1030 - 1230 (for teens on Saturday morning) More information to follow with detailed timings.


DIVISION BREAKDOWN 
Athletes will be invited to the live event following the qualifier stages;

Individuals:
Elite - 30* Male and Female Athletes
RX - 80 Male and 60 Female Athletes
Scaled - 40 Male and Female Athletes

*Plus 10 spots, for each sex, has been allocated to athletes that competed at the Berlin Semifinals but did not qualify for the CrossFit Games. 


Teams:
Elite - 20* Teams
RX - 60 Teams
Scaled - 20 Teams

*Plus 10 spots allocated to athletes that competed at the Berlin Semifinals but did not qualify for the CrossFit Games. 


Age Groups:
35-39 - 30 Male and 20 Female Athletes 
40-44 - 10 Male and Female Athletes
45-49 - 10 Male and Female Athletes 
50-54 - 10 Male and Female Athletes 
55+ - 5 Male and Female Athletes

16-17 - 10 Male and 9 Female Athletes


PRIZE POT
There is a minimum £16,000 prize pot, which has been split across the below competing categories. 

Elite Categories Cash Prize
1st - £1000 / 2nd - £750 / 3rd - £500

RX Categories Cash Prize
1st - £750 / 2nd - £500 / 3rd - £250

Masters 35 - 39 Categories Cash Prize
1st - £750 / 2nd - £350 / 3rd - £200

Age Group Categories Cash Prize
Masters 1st - £250 / Teens 1st - £150

*All other categories will receive additional gifted prizes from our event partners and vendors.

 

SPECTATOR AND COACH TICKETS
Spectator tickets can be purchased via the website HERE

Each competing athlete and team can bring one coach with them who will have access into the athlete area and warm up area. Coaches must purchase a coaches ticket, which will be at a reduced price. This ticket will give coaches access to the whole event as well as the back of house areas stated above. Coach tickets will go live on Wednesday 14 June at 1000 hrs, details on how to purchase these tickets will be circulated to athletes directly.

Event Description

The athletes will begin positioned behind the sensor line for the timer chip. The athletes will have a timer chip for the event.


On the starting call, the athletes will advance over the line and begin their 3 laps.


When the athlete passes over the sensor line at the end of their 3rd lap, the event is concluded and the time will be recorded for scoring.
