About This Competition

Join our 2nd annual Grip it n Rip It, a partner competition on MAY 18.

Rx, Scaled/Intermediate and Super Scaled divisions are available.

Each team will have 4 workouts. There will be no final workout.

Standards

SUPERSCALED:
Single unders
53/35b kb
Thrusters 95/65 lbs
Clean 95/65 lbs
Snatch 85/55 lbs
Knee Raises
Jumping pull-ups
 
SCALED/INTERMEDIATE:
Double unders
53/35lb kb
Thrusters 115/75 lbs
Clean 155/95 lbs
Snatch 115/75 lbs
Toes to Bar
Chin over bar pull ups
 
RX:
Double unders
70/53 lb kb
Thruster 135/95 lbs
Clean 185/105 lbs
Snatch 135/95 lbs
Toes to Bar
Chest to Bar
Bar Muscle-ups (At least one partner)


*Divisions should be able to find a 1 rep max clean & jerk, deadlift or snatch.

**These are just standards and all or none of the movements may show up in a wod. All athletes should be able to complete multiple reps of the above weights.

Workouts

Workout #1 - For time: 10 minute cap

  • 100m farmers carry by partner a
  • 50 KB Swings*
  • 50 Deadlifts*
  • 200 DU's while partner completes a KB hold*
  • 50 Deadlifts*
  • 50 KB Swings*
  • 100m farmers carry by partner b 
*Reps can be split up in anyway.


Weight

  • Rx 70/53 lbs
  • Scaled/SS 53/35 lbs

Super Scaled will complete single unders.

Workout #2 - 10 MIN AMRAP:

70/50 CAL BIKE*
(While partner completes an overhead hold)
*Reps can be split up in anyway.

THEN

Ascending Ladder (Add 2 reps each round) w/ remaining time of:
  • Partner Wall Balls
  • Synchro Bar Facing Burpees
  • Synchro Toes to Bar
Ex. 2,2,2,4,4,4,6,6,6,8,8,8,etc...

Barbell Weight for overhead hold
Rx 135/95 lbs
Scaled 115/85 lbs
SS 95/65 lbs

Wall ball Weight
Rx 30/20 lbs
Scaled/SS 20/14 lbs
Super Scaled will complete knee raises.

Workout #3 - 13 MINUTE CLOCK

1 Mile Partner Run

THEN

Find a 1 Rep Max Clean & Jerk

*Barbell can be pre-loaded prior to the start of the run.
