About This Competition

WheelWOD Games is the pinnacle event for adaptive fitness for the best adaptive athletes athletes in the world. Each division can qualify through the WheelWOD IOQ and sanctioned events. These athletes are from all over the world and battle for the title of the fittest adaptive athlete in the world. 

From July 8-10 2022 Stage 2 of WheelWOD Games Qualifiers  will take place as the Last step to Qualify for a spot into  the WheelWOD Games. The top 6 athletes in each division (12) from the IOQ will advance to stage 2.

“Capacity 1&2”


Upper Impairment ( 1 Point of Contact / Above elbow injury)


On an 11 minute clock


(Part A- Capacity 1)

 6 Min AMRAP

1 Clean & Jerk 

1 Box Jump over 

increase by 1 repetition on each movement each round


2 Min Rest after 6 minutes


Part B- Capacity 2

3 Min AMRAP

4 Weighted Dumbbell Pistols 

3 Jumping Chest to Bar Pull ups (JC2B)


PART A


Barbell Weight
Male: 95 pounds.

Female: 65 pounds


Box height:

Male: 20 inches

Female: 20 inches


Part B

Dumbell weight

Male: 35 pounds

Female: 20 pounds

 

 

Workout Description:

On an 11 minute clock, the Part A (WOD 3)  of the Workout begins with the athlete standing tall in front of the Barbell bar arms at their sides.  At the call of 3,2,1, GO! The athlete will perform 1 Clean and Jerk before proceeding to the box. Where the athlete will then perform 1 Box Jump over to standard height before proceeding Back to the Clean & Jerk, Athlete will add one repetition to each movement after each round.  The athlete will do the second round with 2 Clean & Jerks and 2 Box Jumps continuing to add another repetitions after each round until the end of the 6 minutes. 

The total repetitions complete will be the score for Part A of Workout 3.


The Athlete will then have an immediate 2 minute Rest


When the running clock hits 8 minutes Part B (WOD 3) of the workout begins. For the remaining 3 minutes of the 11 minute clock The athlete will begin with Part B with as many repetitions as possible in 3 minutes. Standing in front of the Dumbbell This section begins with the athlete performing 4 alternating Weighted Dumbbell pistols, then proceeding to 3 Jumping Chest to bar pull ups. After completing the jumping chest to bar pull ups The athlete will then repeat the rep scheme until the 11 minute clock runs out.  

Athletes will submit the score of Part A of the workout (6 min Amrap Total repetitions) in WWGS2 WOD 3 A  

and 

Part B of the workout (3 min Amrap total repetitions completed) in WWGS2 WOD 3 B on the competition Corner scoring platform. These are 2 separate scores, NOT the combined score of both workouts.


Tie Breaker is only in Part A of this workout, The Tie breaker will be the time after 4 full rounds of part A is completed. If an athlete does not complete 4 full rounds of the workout the tiebreaker will be listed as 6 minutes.

“Big 10”


Upper Impairment ( 1 Points of Contact / above elbow injury)


15 Min AMRAP (As many reps as possible)

10 Single Arm Dumbbell Thrusters 

10 Single arm Ring Row

10 Burpee over Bar


Dumbbell Weights:

Male: 35 pounds

Female: 20 pounds


Workout Description:

On a 15 minute clock, the WOD 1  begins with the athlete standing tall in front of the barbell, the arms at their sides.  At the call of 3,2,1, GO! The athlete will perform 10  Thrusters before proceeding to Rings. Where the athlete will then perform 10 Ring Rows to standard before proceeding to the Barbell. Athletes will need to set up a barbell with a standard size bumper  plate where they will perform 10 Lateral Burpees over the bar, the athlete will note the time after completing each round.  The athlete will repeat this series of movements until the 15 minute Clock runs out.


Tie Breaker : The Tie breaker will be the time after the last  full round of the workout is completed. If an athlete does not complete one full round of the workout the tiebreaker will be listed as 15 minutes.

“Full Send”


Upper Impairment ( 1 Point of Contact / Above Elbow injury)

15 Wall Balls 

15/12 Cal Row

13 Minute Cap on this workout.


Wall Ball Height:

Male: 10 feet
Female: 9 feet


Med Ball Weights:

Male: 14 pounds

Female: 10 pounds


Workout Description:

On a 13 minute clock, the WOD 2  begins with the athlete standing tall in front of the medball, the arms at their sides.  At the call of 3,2,1, GO! The athlete will perform 15 Wall balls before proceeding to the Rower with the monitor reset after each round.  The athlete will then begin rowing and continue to row  with the handle in their hands until the monitor reads 15 calories for Male and 12 calories for female.  The athlete will repeat this series of movements for 4 more rounds ( 5 rounds in total) or until the 13 minute Cap Clock runs out.

 

Tie Breaker : The Tie breaker will be the time after the first  full round of the workout is completed. If an athlete does not complete one full round of the workout the tiebreaker will be listed as 13 minutes.
