About This Competition
Functional Fitness Competition
Teams of four (2/male, 2/female)
Three Categories
(1) For the Performance ($75/person)
(2) For the Fitness ($75/person)
(3) For the Fun ($70/person)
CATEGORIES
FOR THE PERFORMANCE
- 6x Events, with one event being the Trench Challenge
Category Minimum Standards: These are examples of weights that can be used in workouts performing multiple reps. These are NOT one rep max’s. Weights may increase to push athletes abilities or decrease to let athletes push at faster rates.
Category Notes
For The Performance Athletes are proficient with all movement standards. You are probably near the top of your leaderboard in the gym on a daily basis and can perform the movements listed multiple times with ease.
If the weights/movements are close to your max, it is suggested to do the “For The Fitness” division.
Clean: 155/105

FOR THE FITNESS
- 6x Events, with one event being the Trench Challenge
For The Fitness Athletes have a basic understanding of all olympic lifting movements as well as most general gymnastics movements. You can probably do most movements in class, you just need some scaling on the heavier weights and more technical movements.
The weights are lighter in this division, and there is a scaled penalty to be applied if pull-ups are not available to you.
Clean: 115/85
Snatch: 85/55
Deadlift: 155/115
Thruster: 95/65

Knee Ups and/or straight leg toes past waist

FOR THE FUN
- 5x Events, with one event being the Trench Challenge
The goal is to FIRST HAVE FUN and to give everyone a starting point and a chance to participate with basic, non technical functional movements.
For The Fun Athletes are fairly new to the world of functional fitness but have an understanding of the basic barbell movements of Squatting, Pressing, Deadlifts along with Kettlebell Swings, Rowers and Jumping.
Weights will be lighter than the FITNESS division to give the athlete a chance to focus on moving and having fun.

REMINDERS:
- August 31: Bonus case of FITAID for early registration
- September 8th, Sunday: Prices go up $10.00 per person
- September 15th, Sunday: Prices go up another $10.00 per person
- September 22th, Sunday: Prices go up $20.00 per person
Notes
- Alternates will be accepted in the event there is an injury during competition.
- Lost Chip Fee: $40.00 paid to Trench Challenge
- Refunds: No refunds will be offered for this event as we are paying for everything up front.
- Parking: Unified_Fit locaiton, please use the side of the road and large parking lot across the street. DO NOT park in Coral Reef's parking spots.
- Please bring Tents, Coolers, Chairs for set up out back

8min AMRAP

30 Toe2Bar, 30 Single Arm DB Thruster, 30 Single Arm DB Hang Snatch,
Snatch & Thrusters: Alternate arms every 5 reps, partners must be working on same arm

Toes2Bar (Performance): Feet must hit the bar together, at the same time
Leg Raises (Fitness): Toes must past the waist at the same time
Knee Raises (Fun): Knees must past the waist at the same time
Thruster: Meet at top of movement at full extension
Snatch: Meet at top of movement at full extension

MF-1 Does Event 5: 8min AMRAP, Rest 1min, Then into Event 6: Weight Lifting Complex. Reset 1min then 2nd pair go.

Synchro Points
- Wall Ball: Bottom of Squat. Ball @ Target. Must meet there in sync (one person cannot be waiting at the bottom)
- Box Jump: Floor and Top of box must meet in sync: (one person cannot be waiting at meeting point, must be moving in the same direction)

FUN

- Box Jumps 24/20 (Step Up/Down Ok)
Partners & Teams will be holding a rope of some sort keeping everyone together.
This event will be operated by Trench Challenge. Please see their rules for 4-MAN division.
We will be using their results for scoring purposes.
Faster Time Is Better.
TRENCH CHALLENGE RULES
- Each team member will have 5 wrist bands
- Each failed obstacle will cost one wrist band
- Each missing wrist band will be a penalty lap at the finish line.
- An honest attempt must be made for each obstacle
- Penalty laps will be per person, pending how many bands he/she is missing
- Penalty lap at the finish line will be a farmers carry of some sort.
- Athlete will not be allowed to cross the finish line till all penalty laps are completed
- Team Time will be based off of last person to cross the finish line.
So, it doesn’t matter who the first person is to finish. The time will be based off the last person.
There are no mandatory obstacle retries, or second attempt lanes. If you miss the obstacle, you get your band cut and move on.
Event 6
Weightlifting Complex - Each Team will have approximately 12minutes to establish a 1RM for the weightlifting complex. (6min per pair).
Male/Female, Male/Female
- Combined Total Weight for each team
- Have your weights set, confirm with judge the weight on the bar before lifting
Flow
- 1min rest between Event 5 & 6
Performance Complex
- Hang Power Clean, Split Jerk One side, Split Jerk Other Side
Fitness Complex
- Hang Power Clean, 1x push jerk, 1 split jerk
Fun Complex
- Hang Power Clean, 1 push press, 1 push jerk
