About This Competition
Trees! Bring your Apples!!! Your favorite adult/child partner CrossFit competition is back at CrossFit Viral! This is an amazing opportunity to work alongside the next generation of CrossFitters, and let them experience the support our culture offers! The workouts are designed by our CrossFit Kids certified coaches, who prioritize safety above all else.
WODs will NOT be posted prior to the competition. Doors open at 8am for athlete registration. Athlete debrief will begin at 8:45am, where we will explain and demo each of the workouts to help everyone feel prepared. A dedicated warm-up area will be provided. First heat will begin at 9am.
Same as prior years...please consider bringing a toy donation for the Children's Hospital to our event. We will gather all donations during morning registration and deliver them to Children's Hospital on behalf of all event participants. Workouts
Max Effort in 7 minutes.
The Big Apple Division (TBA), Apple of My Eye Division (AOME)
Complete:
- Adult: 15 RKBS (M: green, Adult F: yellow)
- Youth: 15 P2OH (TBA: 15lb, AOME: 5lb)
- Together Complete: 30 Hanging Knee Raises (One Person working at a time, with youth completing at least 50%)
Repeat at:
- 12 RKBS
- 12 P2OH
- 24 Hanging Knee Raises
Repeat at:
- 9 RKBS
- 9 P2OH
- 18 Hanging Knee Raises
With remaining time, trade off shuttle runs for additional reps added to overall score. Either partner can begin. 50' shuttle run (down 25', back 25') equals 1 rep. Both feet must cross the line and one hand must touch the ground behind the line on opposite side. Can run through when completing rep. No partial reps awarded.
15 Minute AMRAP
The Big Apple Division (TBA), Apple of My Eye Division (AOME)
- Youth hangs while Adult rows (M: 12 cals, F: 8 cals).
- Shared: 20 burpees over 20" box (One Person working at a time, with youth completing at least 50%)
- Shared: 30 Goblet Squats (M: green, F: yellow, TBA: 14# medball, AOME: 4# medball)
- Youth: Jumps (TBA: 20 single under jump ropes, AOME: 30 plate jumps)
During youth hang, the feet cannot touch the ground or any part of the rig. If they do, the adult must stop rowing and can only begin again when the youth has regained correct position.
