2022 SCCF V Day Massacre
About This Competition
The Valentine's Day Massacre is back for the 8th year and this will be the best one yet! This is the Team comp that everyone looks forward to each year in Vegas . It's time to ask that special someone at your box if they want to throw down with you.
-Once again there will be a scaled division this year. We will have 40 spots available for Rx Teams and 40 for Scaled Teams. Each team will consist of one male and one female. See below for division weights and movement requirements.
-The cost is $225 per team
-There will be 4 workouts for all teams this year!
-Each team member will get a shirt, goody bag, a V Day coffee mug!
*There will be no refunds
**partner substitutions have to be made at least 7 days before the event.
***Anyone signing up after January 21, 2020 will not receive a t-shirt because the order has already been placed.
Movement Standards List:
Rxd Men/Women - (At least one of the teammates should be able to perform the following in a workout)
Front squat – 185/125lbs
Overhead squat– 135/95lbs
Deadlift – 225/155lbs
Power Snatch – 135/95
Clean and Jerk – 185/125lbs
Sumo deadlift high pull – 115/75lbs
Sandbag Clean – 150/100lbs
Db snatch – 50/35lbs
Kb swing – 70/53lbs
Chest to bar pull-ups

Box jumps, 30/24”
Handstand pushups

Workouts
Athletes will have 8 minutes to complete the heaviest lift of the following complex:
1 deadlift
4 hang cleans
3 shoulder to overhead
Score is the sum of heaviest lift from each athlete
800m banded run time
4 x 200m laps
Athletes have 2 minutes to accumulate max time in a handstand
Scaled athletes will accumulate max reps in a wheelbarrow plank

Score = total reps completed in all 3 rounds.
*Athletes will each have a barbell and they will begin with one in front of bar and one beside bike.
**Athletes may alternate movements at any time and the bike is only done once each round.
***On round 1, one athlete must have bar in front rack for the other athlete to be able to bike. On round 3, one athlete must be hanging for the other athlete to be able to bike.
****Teams will keep repeating the barbell and gymnastics movement until the 3 minutes runs out.

**snatches, thrusters, and devil’s press must be synchronized. All other movements are completed with one athlete working and the other resting.
