About This Competition

Formed by the community and shaped through competition, FFX 2023 will be a small but MIGHTY event. 
Each event, programmed by Misfit Athletics, will be fun and challenge the competitors strength, skill, and overall fitness. 

This year we will present a cash prize to the winner of EACH division.

While these are not necessarily weights and skills you will see in workouts, this is a guide to help you understand what might possibly be asked of you or of the level of fitness this division should have as a baseline.

There will be three stations set up with clearly marked areas - 
Athlete 1: Couplet
Athlete 2: DB Hold 
Athlete 3: Rest
One athlete must be holding 50s/35s at the farmers hold station so that the couplet station may begin work on deadlift and burpee box jump over. Athletes may rotate in any order at any time but must all be in their designated areas, with the dumbbells in a farmers hold, to do work on

DB: 50/35lbs

Box: Everyone 20"

At 3, 2, 1, Go - two athletes begin their synchro step ups while the third athlete does their set of toes to bar. This will rotate for three rounds, so that each athlete does step ups twice and one set of toes to bar. All three athletes will hold a tether for their trail run. Upon returning they will go through the same 3 round format, with chest to bar pull ups in place for toes to bar. Please see scaled version below.

300ft Sandbag Clean Shuttle 150/100lbs*

(6 Min Cap)

*The sandbag is cleaned each time athlete crosses the taped line and turns around in a 10-20-30-40-50ft sandbag carry shuttle, totaling 10 cleans and 300ft of carrying. The workout ends when the athlete crosses the line with their bag.

100 HSPU (Buy-in: Whole Team for RX) 

OR 18 Wall Walks (Buy-in: Whole Team for Scaled)

(12 Min Cap)

All three athletes will chip away at the 100 HSPU, changing anytime.

Bike/SB Shuttle is like a relay, each athlete completes their bike and shuttle before tagging the next partner in.

*Sandbag is cleaned each time athlete crosses the taped line and turns around in a 10-20-30-40-50ft sandbag carry shuttle, totaling 10 cleans and 300ft of carrying. The workout ends when the last athlete crosses the line with their bag.
