About This Competition

The Legends Championship is the premiere Masters only CrossFit competition.  The 2024 Championship will be hosted December 12 to December 15 at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.

Division Standards:

Individual: Athletes competing in this division should expect to be at the “elite/advanced” level. Ready for anything and everything from the CrossFit Open to the Games.

  • At “GO” athletes will move to the Handstand Push Up station to perform the prescribed amount
  • Next, athletes will move to the barbell and perform the prescribed number of Hang Snatches
  • Finally, athletes then proceed to the Rower and continue accumulating calories until Time Cap

FLOW:

  • Athletes will start on the start mat. At “GO” athletes will move to the Wall ball station and start working on the designated number of Wall Balls.
  • After completion of WB athletes will move to the Box to work on the Burpee box jump overs
  • Then athletes will move to the Heavy drag rope stations (closer to the rig) to perform the prescribed movement
    • Round 1 singles 50, RD 2 crossover singles 50, RD 3 doubles 50
  • After finishing the jump rope movement athletes will move the rope forward to the next designated section
  • After the jump ropes, athletes will move back to the Wall Ball station to start the 2nd round
  • Athletes will move on this fashion, WB, BPBJO, Jump rope for a total of 3 rounds
  • After completion of the 3rd round (last set of jump rope) the athletes will sprint to the finish line where time will be called.

6 minutes to find max weight of the complex:

5 deadlifts

3 hang cleans

1 shoulder to OH

THIS COMPLEX MUST BE PERFORMED UNBROKEN

 

FLOW: 

  • Athletes will start behind the lifting platform
  • At “GO” athletes will enter the platform and load the barbell, then work on the unbroken lifting complex
  • Athletes must declare the weight to the judge
    • If a no rep is granted at any point during the complex, athletes can continue working UNLESS they let go of the barbell
    • Barbell must be lifted off the ground before the time cap
  • No dirty loading
    • Smaller size plates must be on the outside of the barbell and inside the clips.
    • Barbells must have both clips before being lifted
  • Lifting area needs to be clear of plates before attempting the complex
  • Stepping ON any platform line will be a no rep, the athlete MUST start the complex from the beginning

4 Rounds for Time (12 min Time Cap)

10 sandbag squats (on the shoulder)

100’ sandbag carry (on the shoulder)

150 meter run on the field

 

35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54 - Sandbag 150/100#

55-59, 60-64, 65+ - Sandbag 100/50#

 

FLOW:

  • Athletes will start on the start mat.
  • At “GO” athletes will move to the Sandbag and perform 10 Sandbag squats
  • Then athletes will proceed to carry the sandbag a distance of 100’
  • When done with the carry, athletes will drop the sandbag and proceed to run 150m, (75 m down and 75 m back)
  • After, athletes will return to perform sandbag squats to start the second round
  • Athletes will keep moving in this fashion until completing 4 rounds
  • Time will be called when the athletes return to the finish line after the last run

  • Athletes will start on the start mat.
  • At “GO” athletes will move to the Rig and start working on the designated number of Bar Muscle Ups
  • Then athletes will move to accumulate the designated handstand walk distance (10’,5’) in 5’ unbroken increments
  • After, athletes will move to the Dumbell station to perform the prescribed amount of Alternating Single Arm Devil’s Press
  • Athletes will return to the Rig to start the second round and continue working as described above, adding 10’(5’ for 60+) to each handstand walk, until the 9 min time cap is called

TIEBREAKER: Completion of 3rd round
