About This Competition

Island Battle Ground gives athletes both new and experienced to competition an opportunity to challenge themselves and have a blast doing it...on the lovely island of PHUKET!

Pick your division…

Scaled: For those who are new to competing, share a common goal of functional fitness, and are working toward mastering their skills. (Men: 18 spots. Women: 12 spots).

Athletes will be able to modify any gymnastic movements such as banded pull ups or jumping pull ups. They also can move 35-65# barbell in all Olympic movements.

 

RX: The perfect fit for athletes who love the thrill of competition and have a passion for functional fitness at an advanced level. (Men 16 spots. Women: 16 spots).

Athletes who are able to do all movements, including muscle ups, handstand push ups, and pistols. They also can move 105# plus in all Olympic Lifts efficiently.

Teams of 2: Male/female, intermediate. (16 spots). 

Team members who are able to do pull ups, toes to bar, and move 85# plus in all Olympic Lifts efficiently.

 

Cost: Ealry bird registration individual: $50. Team: $100. Normal individual: $60. Team: $120. Late registration individual $65. Team: $130. 

To set you up for success when you arrive onsite, here’s what you need to know:

Check- In - All athletes must check in at Chalong, powered by Tiger Muay Thai. Friday between 5:00pm-8:00pm or Saturday from 7:30am and 8:15am.

Where Am I Going? – Check-in occurs at Chalong 7/35 Soi Taied Chalong, Phuket Thailand on February 16-17, 2019.  

No Take-Backs – Life happens—we totally get that. But please be aware that if you cannot participate in the weekend’s events, we cannot offer a refund for any reason.

(2) Atheltes must choose a Ground-to-overhead weight and keep it for the entire workout
(4) The score for 2B is the number of reps times the weight of the bar (e.g. 20 reps of 60kg = 1200kg moved).
(5) The score is displayed as the total amout of weight moved with the time limit.
(6) Both 2A and 2B are scored up to 100 points.

The athletes choose one KB weight through the entire workout. Athletes are allowed to change hands once.

The weight of the KB times the number of repetitions equals score (e.g. 16kg x 20 reps = 320kg moved)

Max rig dead hang time

The athletes have one attempt to max unbroken hang time

Time in hang equals score - the longer the better.
