Sun's Out Guns Out Throwdown is a partner competition with RX and scaled M/F teams.  The event will take place July 15th at CrossFit Maximus beginning at 8 AM.
Registration opens April 1st.

Workouts

Sea Me Get Salty
Each Athlete must Complete 2 Full Rounds.

Athlete 2 must wait for Athlete 1 to fully complete one round
before beginning work.
Athlete Complete:
• 20 Double KB Shoulder to Overhead
• 20 Double KB Walking Lunges (KB at athlete’s sides)
• Rx: 30 Cross-overs / Scaled: 60 Single Unders


RX - KB = 2 x53/35
Scaled - KB = 2 x 35/26
Score: Total time to complete two rounds each

POWER CLEAN LADDER

Male and Female Athletes will have 1:00 Minute TOTAL to complete 1 Rep at the designated weight. If the athlete successfully completes the lift—they will proceed to the next weight until ladder is completed. If the athlete fails the rep, they can attempt the weight as many times as desired in the minute or proceed to Max deadlifts at that weight. Deadlift reps will be a tie break score.

RX Ladder Weights

Female: 125, 145, 175, 195, 215

Male: 185. 225, 255, 285, 300

 

Scaled Ladder Weights

Female: 85, 105, 125, 145, 165

Male: 135, 155, 175, 195, 205

Buy In: 20 Cal Row (Each)
Then…..
For Time:
• 6 Wall Walks
• 30 Wall Balls + 10 Toes to Bar (Hanging Knee Raises Scaled)
• 4 Wall Walks
• 30 Wall Balls + 10 Toes to Bar (Hanging Knee Raises Scaled)
• 2 Wall Walks
• 30 Wall Balls + 10 Toes to Bar (Hanging Knee Raises Scaled)
Time cap – 8 minutes
Athletes may spilt the work as desired.
RX: 10 Ft Target for M&F; Scaled: 9 FT Target for M&W
WB: 20/14 for both Divisions

Linda Meets the Devil—You Go, I Go!
For time 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 reps of:
• Barbell Deadlift (RX: W=215/M=315; Scaled: W=155/M=215)
• DB Devil’s Press (RX: 50/35s ; Scaled 35/20s)
• Dumbbell Bench Press (RX: 50/35s ; Scaled 35/20s)
Time cap: 15 mins
Score: Time or total reps completed

“Oh My Quads..It’s Hot”


You Go, I Go—Each Partner will complete 6 Rounds Each of:
12/10 Cal Bike (Scaled 10/8)
7 Barbell Thrusters (RX: 115/80; Scaled 95/65)
Score: Total Time
Time Cap: 12 Minutes
