About This Competition
The 3nd Annual Brushy Mountain Melee – Now a Three-Event Throwdown!
Back for another year, the Brushy Mountain Melee is raising the bar once again with a 3 event competition format and additional divisions. Hosted in the scenic foothills, this CrossFit showdown brings together athletes of all levels to battle it out in a day filled with intensity, camaraderie, and purpose.
This year’s Melee isn’t just about testing your limits—it’s about making a difference. As part of Brushy Mountain CrossFit’s ongoing commitment to philanthropy, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local nonprofit dedicated to servicing our community.
Whether you’re stepping into the arena or cheering from the sidelines, come be part of a movement that’s as strong in heart as it is in fitness. NOW Three events! One mission. Let’s Melee.

1 Mile Team Run
RX: 50/35 DBs
Inter: 40/25 DBs
Scaled: 35/20 DBs
At the call of “3, 2, 1, Go,” both teammates will begin together on a 1-mile run. Team members may run at different paces but will not advance to the next movement until both are standing on the lane mat.
Once on the mat, teams will complete a total of 150 Dumbbell Bench Press repetitions. Repetitions may be divided between teammates in any fashion. Only one athlete may work at a time. Athletes may switch as needed, but all transitions must occur cleanly and safely. If dumbbells are dumped at any point this will result in a No-Rep; Dumbbells must be placed on the ground for transitions for safety purposes.
Every 50 repetitions, teams must advance their bench and dumbbells to the next designated station before continuing. Equipment must be fully moved and set before additional repetitions begin.
After all 150 repetitions are completed, teams will immediately head back out for a final 1-mile run together. Time stops when both teammates cross the finish line.
Movement Standards
-Teams must start and finish on their designated lane mat.
-Dumbbell Bench Press reps must reach full lockout at the top.
-Dumbbells must clearly touch some portion of the chest at the top of each repetition.
-Teams may partition bench press reps however they choose unless otherwise directed by judges.
-Bench and dumbbells must be fully advanced to the next station after every 50 reps before continuing work.
