About This Competition
This is the 11th annual Battle Beyond the Barbell - a functional fitness competition in support of the Janis Foligno Foundation.

This list is NOT comprehensive, but if you're capable of these things as a team you will be competitive at the battle!

About the Janis Foligno Foundation
The Janis Foligno Foundation was created in loving memory of Janis Foligno, cherished daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, who passed away after a courageous battle with breast cancer in July 2009.

Workouts
Teams will have 15 minutes for each athlete will establish a 1RM on one of the following complexes:
- 1 Snatch + 3 Overhead Squats
- 3 Squat Snatches
- 1 Clean + 3 Front Squats + 1 Shoulder-to-Overhead
- 3 Clean & Jerks
*1 male and 1 female will perform a snatch variation and the OTHER male and female will perform a clean variation
Teams will have 15 minutes for each athlete will establish a 1RM on one of the following complexes:

As many reps as possible in 20 minutes of:
20 Toes-to-Bar
30 Sandbag to Shoulder (100/70)
40 Partner Wallballs (14lbs over 9ft)
40 Box Jump Overs (20" for all)
30 Sandbag Bearhug Squats
20 Pull-Ups
20 Minute Tandem Row for Total Cals
160m Yoke Carry Relay
4 x ~40m Yoke Carry Relay
Weight increases 60 lbs each round.
Each athlete must perform one 40m carry.
