About This Competition
The Wellington Cup | HYROX Edition
Two days of HYROX racing at Urban Fitness, Wellington.
Saturday: Solo races. Full 1km Run. Full stations.
Sunday: Pairs races. 500m Run. Full stations.
Race one day or both. Solo is your chance to hit the full run. Pairs splits the work across two people for more accessible entry plus 500m runs.
Both days allow Open and Pro divisions, Women and Men, plus Mixed Pairs on Sunday.
Heats start 7:00 am, every 20 minutes. Last heat 3:00 pm.
Pick your heat at registration.
Timing
This event is untimed and run for participation. There is no official clock or leaderboard. You know when your heat starts, so track your own time on your watch.
Refunds
Entries are non-refundable.
Transfers and Substitutes
Entries are transferable. Solo spots can be transferred to another athlete, and pairs can substitute a partner, up to Thursday 13 August 2026 at 17:00, when registration closes. No changes after this date.
What to Bring
Your own hydration and fuelling for your race. Clean indoor shoes for the floor. Bag storage is available in the reception area.
Getting There
12 Abel Smith Street, Te Aro, Wellington. Street parking only, metered pay-and-display on Abel Smith Street and surrounding Te Aro streets. Check meter signage on the day or use the Wellington City Council parking app. Coffee at Raglan Roast, 100 m down the road.
Venue
Toilets and changing rooms on site. Wheelchair accessible.
Spectators
Welcome and free.
Heats and Check-in
Heats start at 7:00 am and run every 20 minutes on the dot. Arrive at least 20 to 30 minutes before your heat. If you miss your heat you will not be rescheduled.
Age
Minimum age 18.
