Once bench press reps are complete, they must place the DB’s on the rubber mat at the end of the bench and the athlete can move to the pool to complete their 50m swim. Athlete 2 can begin the bench press once the judge signals the swimming athlete has touched the wall at the 50m mark, they can wait with the DB either on the ground or resting on their knees until signalled by the judge. The workout will continue in this manner until the 9 minute mark.
