About This Competition
GRAB A PARTNER AND JOIN US FOR THIS AMAZING CAUSE!
We are putting on a special in-house competition at four of the local boxes in Barrie - CrossFit Barrie, CrossFit Resurrection, and The Cabin CrossFit!
This is a FUNdraiser competition, with all proceeds going towards Rachel's Journey.
Rachel is a 25 year old young lady who was born with Cerebral Palsy Spastic Diplegia. Despite this condition, she has always enjoyed participating in sports and activities, and her goal is to always continue to do so.
However, in order to avoid a severe decline in mobility and increase in pain over the next several years of her life, she has elected to undergo a procedure known as Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, that would permanently reduce the spasticity in her legs caused by CP.
Unfortunately since the surgery can only be performed in the United States, Rachel needs help raising $120,000 to cover the costs associated with the procedure and recovery.
Competition Details:
-Any sex pairs competition (F/F, M/M or F/M)
-$50 Entry Fee per athlete with 100% proceeds going to Rachel’s Journey
-This is a fundraiser and about inclusivity, so it will be 1 Division only (see minimum movement requirements below)
-4 Workouts
-Prizepacks from local businesses!
-There will be a podium at each box as well as an OVERALL winner crowned for all of Barrie!
Minimum Movement Requirements
Hang power clean 115/75 lbs
Shoulder to overhead 95/65 lbs
Hanging knee raise
DB snatch 50/35 lbs
Box step-up 24/20"
Additional Details
-Since this is a fundraiser, there will be no refunds on entry fees
-You can substitute your partners up to 24 hours before the competition
-Workouts 1 and 2 will be released the week of October 11-15th
-Workouts 3 and 4 will be released at the competition
