About This Competition
Our mission is simple. It's creating community and shared experiences. We do this by getting back to the grassroots OG days of CrossFit. The days when BBQs and cracking open a beer after a tough day of work were more valuable than a place on the podium. The days when all were welcome weren't about "RX" but simply the effort put forth. The days when you got together with friends and got to work. We get it, though; we all have our competitive side, which is why yes, this go around, there will be a podium.
There are two divisions to select from "Jupiter Peak" and "Mellow Moose." These divisions will act as our "RX" and "Scaled." Please review the division standards before signing up for your division.
We are focused on running a safe, fun, and smooth event so you can enjoy the day with friends. Here's what you can expect when you sign up:
-We encourage you to sign up with a friend. They will be your "teammate." Yes, you read that right, teammate. Though this is an individual competition, you will have the ability to also win as a team. It doesn't matter if you are in two separate divisions; we will combine your total scores in the end for our overall podium. Email sicily@parkcityfit.com for partner requests. We will do our best!
-You will be assigned a specific heat time that we will be working to keep dialed into a "T" throughout the day. There will be an "in the hole" and "on deck" call for your heat.
-You will participate in 3 workouts throughout the day, roughly 3 hours apart. We are posting 2 of the 3 workouts, so you know what to expect, while the third will be announced on the day of the event! Movement standards will be in video format and shared.
-If, for any reason, you cannot complete the movements listed, please email sicliy@parkcityfit.com, and we will make sure to have additional options for you so you can get the most out of the weekend. Lower weight, modified movements, and even functions if you have any limitations.
-Bonus event! We will have an optional bonus event participants can take part in throughout the weekend, where you have the potential to win some additional swag!
