2023 Workout4Wildlife
About This Competition
1. What is W4W?
Workout4Wildlife was born out of a passion for fitness and wildlife conservation. In 2022, we went on a bike ride across Namibia, one of the most remote places on earth. Blown away by its landscape and wildlife, we challenged ourselves to contribute towards the conservation of the beauty we encountered. Upon our return, we founded Workout4Wildlife. Our goal is to leverage the fitness community to raise funds for wildlife conservation projects globally.
2. How does it work?
To do so, we challenge the health and fitness community to participate in an exciting online event. This unique challenge will provide all participants with a fun workout experience, while at the same time supporting an important cause. Among all participants, a lucky winner will be determined by draw and win a trip worth $15,000 to Namibia.
3. How is our beneficiary
This year, 100% of your entry fee will contribute to push back on Namibia’s recently reported record levels of poaching. The number of rhinos killed in Namibia almost doubled in 2022 to 87 reported killings, with only 5000 free-roaming black rhinos left across Africa (BBC). Our beneficiary Save the Rhino Trust (SRT) is an organization that has been operating since 1982, patrolling over 25,000 kms2 of Namibia’s wilderness.
