About This Competition

Welcome to the Duketown Throwdown 2025 Buddy Qualifiers.

Qualifiers: June 1st till June 30st

Finals: October 12th

Location: Rietwaard 11 's- Hertogenbosh

 

The competition includes five levels to play:
Scaled 
Advanced
RX
Scaled masters
RX masters 

 

The concept:
·       Earn your spot to the finals through the qualifier;
·       For the beginner athlete;
·       Only 1 day of competition for ALL divisions
·       ALL participants are doing 2 different workouts spread out during the day.

NIVEAUS

Male:

In the rounds of 3-6-9 reps use 2x10kg db’s, power clean weight 45kg

In the rounds of 12-15-18 reps use 2x15kg db’s, power clean weight 55kg

In the rounds of 21 reps and higher use 2x22,5kg db’s, power clean weight 65kg

Female

In the rounds of 3-6-9 reps use 2x5kg db’s, power clean weight 30kg

In the rounds of 12-15-18 reps use 2x10kg db’s, power clean weight 40kg

In the rounds of 21 reps and higher use 2x15kg db’s, power clean weight 50kg

Master Male

In the rounds of 3-6-9 reps use 2x5kg db’s, power clean weight 35kg

CRITERIA VAN DE BEWEGINGEN

Row: Roei elke ronde het vereiste aantal kcal. De monitor moet voorafgaand aan elke ronde worden gereset op 0 kcal. Er mag telkens pas worden afgestapt als het vereiste aantal kcal per ronde op de monitor zichtbaar is.

Dumbells thruster: Vanuit een front rack positie moet er beneden parallel worden gesquat.

Dat betekent dat de heupen lager zakken dan de knieën op het diepste punt van de squat.

Vervolgens dient er volledig uitgestrekt te worden. Enkels, knieën & heupen zijn volledig open en gestrekt. Tegelijkertijd zijn de schouders volledig geopend en de ellebogen gestrekt waarbij de dumbells boven het hoofd zijn. NB: De eerste rep van een set mogen de dumbells direct worden gesquat cleaned alvorens uit te stoten.

Burpee to target: Vanuit staande positie moet de atleet volledig plat gaan liggen op de vloer.

Hierbij maken zowel de heupen als de borst tegelijkertijd contact met de grond. Vanuit hier springt/staat de atleet op en moet het target met beide handen worden aangeraakt. Het target moet 15cm buiten bereik zijn van de atleet als deze volledig rechtop staat en de vingertoppen volledig gestrekt zijn boven het hoofd.

*Het target met 1 hand aanraken is een no rep

Power clean: De schijven moeten elke rep contact maken met de grond alvorens er mag worden getild. De atleet trekt de halter uit de grond en slaat deze voor op de borst. In de eindpositie van de power clean zijn de enkels, knieën & heupen volledig open. De romp is recht en de ellebogen zijn voorbij de halter geprojecteerd (front rack positie).

Toegestane variaties:

- power clean

- split clean + bijstappen onder de heupen elke rep

- muscle clean

- squat clean

*Een hang clean is een no rep

*Bouncen van de schijven is een no rep
