About This Competition
The "fittest in the City" Hopper-style Crossfit competition is back! After haivng to miss out on Reindeer Gainz 2020, we are back in 2021 to host a competition that is sure to be fun and challenging. Due to the Hopper-style, workouts are not released ahead of time - know the standards - but are drawn from a "hat" and announced "as we go" So be prepared for anything because anything could happen - as true CrossFit states "be prepared for the unknown!"
We ask that all athletes be flexible as heat times can change once the WOD is drawn - we will update and announce as quickly as possible to ensure all athletes have ample warm up and preparation time.

Workouts
500m Sandbag Run
Weight of Bag:
(Rx Men & Masters 120#)

Standards...........
Complete 1 lap around the block (500m) carrying a filled sandbag - staying on the sidewalk, always making a right hand turn.
Athletes can carry the bag in any fashion desired.
Individuals can rest as needed.
Teams can split the work as needed.

Standards:
Power Snatch....Snatches are taken from the floor. Touch and Go allowed. Full lock out at top before bringing bar down.
Ring Rows......Rings will be set to height no adjusting. Athlete will stand under rings and "fall back" into place. Arms must be fully extended; rings must touch chest/ribs. Feet must be ON tape line entire time.

0-3 min, MAX lateral hand release burpee over the bar
3-9 min, 5RM Shoulder to Overhead (STOH) from floor
SCORE: max burpees + final successful weight
Standard:
Burpee.... chest must contact floor, must hop over the bar (no skip step or 1-footed take off allowed); Hands must come off the floor before rising.
STOH..... Athlete must clean bar from ground, any form of overhead is permitted (strict press, push press, push jerk, split jerk) feet must be brought back together if doing split jerk. Full extension required to complete movement.

0-3 min, max lateral burpee over bar (share work however)
3-9 min, find 5 rep max STOH from ground

Standards.......
Burpee: chest must touch floor, head facing the bar. must hop over bar, no 1-foot or skip take off.
STOH: athlete must clean bar from floor, any form of overhead movement is permitted (strict press, push press, push jerk, split jerk), full overhead, controlled extension to complete movement

Standards:
HSPU ....... Full lock out of arms. Heels must be on the wall while lock out is achieved. If athlete is coming off the wall before lockout shown, that is a NOREP. All athletes will be set up with (2)25# plates and ab mat. Hands can be placed anywhere on weight plates.
Devil press..... chest must touch the ground between DBs. DB must not rest on shoulder on the way up. Can be swung up in a snatch like way. Full extension of elbows, hips, knees.

Standards:
Wall walks......athlete must start and end each rep with chest completely on ground. Hands placed above tape mark. Athlete performs a push up and feet placed at the wall. Upon moving, both feet must be on the wall befoer hands can move. Hands must get behind the tape mark before lowering to floor to complete the rep.
Devil press..... chest must touch the ground between DBs. DB must not rest on shoulder on the way up. Full extension of elbows, hips, knees to complete movement. Return both DBs to floor.
