About This Competition
FINALLLYYYYY, we are excited to be hosting another CrossFit/Fitness competition at the Healthplex. This will follow the same format as we have had in the past with competitors judgin each other and will be a fun day of competing with other members of the gym. This is a great opportunity to "try-out" a competition style day, or to test your abilities as a routine competitor. This is all for fun and for the experience. If you're looking for fame and glory, then you might want to look somewhere else. (Although this is completely applicable to bragging rights at the gym).
These events will consist of several elements and styles of workouts that we do not get to do often, or ever, during a normal class setting. Your ability to adapt will be tested. There will be 4 Events, with 5 total scores.
There will only be 2 divisions: Male and Female.
The movements/weights used during the events will be listed in the standards along with the amount of volume you can expect of that movement/weight. For common movements that people need to scale, there will be alternatives that you can perform that will allow you to compete. (example: 1 Pull Up = 2 KB Swings, 1 TTB = 2 Sit-Ups). This means that as long as you can handle the weights listed, you will be good to go. And as always, if you are concerned about a particular movement or weight, just get in contact with us and we will discuss and see what we can do. We want as many people to participate as possible!
