ROWvember V4
About This Competition
ROWvember Volume 4. This is a fun competition with teams of 4 athletes: 2 males / 2 females. This will last 4 weeks with a new workout being announced each Thursday starting November 4th. The workouts will incorporate the Rower, Ski Erg, Assault Bike, Concept 2 Erg Bike and potentially the Air Assault Runner. There may be other low skill movements added for particular workouts but definitely something everyone can do. In the past there has been burpees and a sled drag/push.
Your team will have from Thursday Night until Monday Night to complete the workout to get the best score possible. Scores must be submitted no later than 8pm on Mondays. This is similar to the CrossFit Open in terms of workout announcements and score submission.

EVENT 1
“Twisted Blind”
8:00 Interval Row For Max Distance
A twist on a classic ROWvember benchmark workout. The 8 min max distance row. However this year, there’s a twist, rather “twists”.
TWIST 1: This will be performed in an interval format of 1:00 work / 1:00 of rest for 8 total rounds
TWIST 2: you are rowing blind. You are not allowed to see your monitor as it will be folded down or you can tape the monitor to hide everything except the time at the top. If folded down, only your teammates can check the monitor and give you warnings when each working minute is coming to an end (i.e., "10 secs left") and when the next working interval is about to begin (i.e. 3,2,1 stop and 3,2,1 go). You can't be told distance, pace or strokes per minute during this workout. You have to go by feel.
Your score is total distance achieved as a team. If you've competed before you know how hard an 8 minute row can be. Throw the rest periods in there and ability to recover, your efforts should be tough!
You can only do this workout twice should you choose.
