About This Competition
Welcome to the Inaugural Fine Tuned Performance online challenge!
Fine Tuned Performance and Rehabilitation is a performance physical therapy clinic geared towards creating fitter and more functional athletes so they can move better, feel better, and perform better.
Now it's time to showcase some of that performance and maybe take home a prize in the process. $75 to the male and female winners, Fine Tuned Performance t-shirt to the top 3 athletes on the male and female side.
The first challenge is simple:
No Time Cap
Maximum unbroken alternating Dumbbell Snatches at 50lb/35lb.
As per typical competition rules, we're looking for full range of motion with elbow lockout and vertical shoulders. Both ends of the dumbbell must touch the ground. No pausing for rest overhead or on the ground is permitted.
Video submission to bobby@ftprehab.com is required for prize eligibility and are subject to review and alteration of score for leaderboard purposes.
A 30% rep reduction will be applied for consistent lack of extension overhead or clear lack of dumbbell contact with the ground. If a pause is observed, the rep number prior to said pause will be the adjusted score per individual review.
Registration is open now until an hour before the submission deadline. Registration is $10 and is nonrefundable. Scores must be submitted by 5:30pm Eastern on Friday, April 19. If there are any questions please direct to the email provided above.

Workouts
No Time Cap:
Maximum Unbroken Alternating Dumbbell Snatches 50lb/35lb
At 3,2,1,Go... Athletes will begin performing alternating dumbbell snatches for a maximum unbroken set. Score is the number of reps completed in the set. Tiebreaker will be time of completion of the last rep.
Standards:
- Full extension of shoulder overhead and upright trunk at top of rep.
- Full elbow lockout.
- Both heads of dumbbell must touch ground for each rep
- Repetitions must be alternating
- Motion may not stop or pause at any portion of the rep
- i.e. no pause/holding dumbbell overhead, no resting on the ground with hand on dumbbell, no pausing at any point in the dumbbell snatch.
- A 30% score reduction will be implemented for athletes not demonstrating full or consistent range of motion throughout the workout
- If a pause is observed, the score is the last repetition completed before aforementioned pause.
- Video submission to bobby@ftprehab.com with a visible timer required for prize eligibility.
