About This Competition
THE GAME OF ROWERS IS BACK!
Saturday December 7th from 12-5pm!
This is going to be a competition of epic proportions!
This is a team, rowing only competition, so find your three best rowing friends and sign up. Two men and two women per team!
Each teammate will complete one individual event, one partner event, and up to three team events!
Be on the lookout at the end of October for workout descriptions and details. Heat order will be assigned based on order of sign ups; so, later heats will go to those who signed up early!
EVENTS
INDIVIDUAL EVENT: BIG BOAT!
500m Row For Time
*Damper at 10!
(One male and one female from each team will complete this workout!)
INDIVIDUAL EVENT: SPEED BOAT!
50 Cal Row For Time
*Damper at 1
(One male and one female from each team will complete this workout, not the same people who do the 500!)
TEAM EVENT RELEASE: INTERVALS FOR CALORIES
Each rower will be programmed with eight intervals of :50 work, :10 rest.
Each teammate will row two of the intervals, in whatever order your team desires, for max total calories!
-Handles Down between rowers
PARTNER EVENT: WATTS UP DOG!
(1 woman, 1 man)
Partners will alternate for average watts: :30 on/:10 transition x 6 total intervals
-Rower will be programmed with timed intervals and rest.
-Partner 1 will row :30, :10 transition, Partner 2 will row :30, :10 transition, then partners continue to alternate for a total of 6 intervals.
-The rower will calculate the average watts at the end of the 6 intervals.
-Handles Down between rowers
PARTNER EVENT: HUNDREDS
1000m by 100s!
Partner workout! (1 man, 1 woman; not the same pair who complete "Watts Up Dog")
1000m row for time, switch every 100m with a :10 transition
-Handles Down between rowers
TEAM EVENT: LAST ROWER STANDING
3500m For Time!
*Teammates may only row 1 time each, split the 3500m as desired.
*Monitors will be covered, but the board will be on display.
