Watch The Throne 24
About This Competition
Join us at CrossFit Monarch Borough Parade on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of April for our Mixed Teams Watch The Throne 24 CrossFit competition.
Saturday 6th will be dedicated to our scaled category.
Sunday 7th will be dedicated to the RX category.
Location: CrossFit Monarch Borough Parade, Chippenham, Wilts, Sn153WL
Teams: 2 Male + 2 Female (4 per team). Limited to 24 teams per day.
Events: Details will be released the week prior to the competition. Scaled will include a minimum of 3 workouts plus a final. RX will include a minimum of 4 workouts plus a final.
The required movement standards and weights for each category can be found below. If the athletes within your team CAN perform the movements and loads highlighted in the RX category they should NOT enter the scaled category.
Timings: Athlete check in will begin from 8am each day - briefing will begin at 8:30am
*We will allow athlete substitutions up until the day of the competition, no refunds will be given for any reason.*
RX movement standards may include but not limited to:
- Toes to bar/pull ups/chest to bar/Handstand push ups
- Barbell load cycling example 60/40kg / deadlifts 100/70kg
- Dumbell load examples 22.5/15kg
- Double unders
Expect the final to have further advanced movements and loads such as bar muscle up/ring muscle up etc
Scaled movement standards may include but not limited to:
- Butterfly sit ups
- Kettlebell swings 24/16kg
- Dumbell load examples 15/10kg
- Max Barbell load examples cycling of 42.5/30kg / deadlift 70/50kg
- Hanging knee raises/ ring rows
The final may include slightly more advanced movements and loads.
These are examples only, the workouts will include many other movements which will be along the same difficulty levels as the above examples.
Our facility includes a coffee bar, serving a range of drinks including nocco and other soft drinks along with a variety of protein bars. There is a range of coffee shops and supermarkets within a minute walking distance.
We are able to provide a skipping rope but you are advised to bring your own.
Parking is available in our private free car park, please follow the signs. If you park in the Monarch car park YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENTERING YOUR REGISTRATION INTO THE TABLET AT THE REQUIRED TIMES. Once the Monarch car park is full teams will need to find alternative parking at one of the many available car parks in the surrounding area.
Spectators are welcome.
For team boards to be printed you must be registered before the 23rd march 24.

Workouts
10 minute amrap
worm complex:
9 squats - 6 stoh - 3 cleans (2 athletes on the worm)
plus max cals on assault bike
score is reps plus calories
For time:
7 minute time cap:
Snatch ladder:
60 reps at 30/25kg
50 reps at 40/30kg
40 reps at 50/35kg
30 reps at 60/40kg
Reps can be split as required.
At minute 7 move straight into part B.
For time:
7 minute time cap
Complete a snatch ladder
60 reps at 20/15kg
50 reps at 30/20kg
40 reps at 35/25kg
30 reps at 40/30kg
6 minutes for team members to establish a 1RM snatch.
1 athlete lifting at a time
1 male bar and 1 female bar available
8 intervals of 1:30 to accumulate maximum repetitions of Toes to bar:
in m/f pairs
12 sync dual kettlebell hang clean and jerks
max reps sync ttb
Intervals alternate between pairs.
