Divisions:
Novice Women All, Open Women (under 165lbs), Open Women (above 165lbs)
Novice Men All, Open Men (under 200lbs), Open Women (above 200lbs)
Weigh-ins: Friday, Aug. 23rd (8:00 am-11:00 am OR 1:00 pm-5:00 pm)
An Individual Competition
4 workouts, each event will be sport-specific to either a strongman, powerlifting, or CrossFit-style event. Each event will adhere to the rules and standards of judging for that sport.
We will have a spot designated for athlete "tent" area so be sure to bring a canopy and anything else you may need to keep you cool during the weather in August.

Workouts
A Powerlifting Max Deadlift
This will be Wessel's Rules, using a deadlift bar.
Every competitor will have 3 attempts and 60 seconds per attempt to complete a rep once given the start command. If the lift is unsuccessful within the 60-second time limit you cannot attempt again. The weight will not be lowered once loaded. 20lb jumps for men & 10 lbs for women. Athletes do not have to complete every weight jump. A successful lift will have the competitor standing with hips and knees fully extended, and competitors must wait for the judge to give the down command.
Allowed: Sleeves, Chalk, and belt.
Not allowed: Straps, hitching, ramping, sumo-deadlifts, and dropping the weight from the top.
· Barbell, Axle, Log Clean and Press for Time
- Athletes will begin with their hands on the wall. On the go command, athletes will move to the first bar and have 60 secs to move through each implement. Athletes will clean and press each implement, from ground to overhead. Barbell is one rep, Axle is two reps, and log will be for as many reps as possible in the remaining time. The log clean and press will be for an AMRAP. Shoulder to overhead may be a strict press, push press, push jerk, or split jerk.
Barbell clean and press: The barbell will start on the ground the athlete will lift the loaded barbell from the ground to the shoulders in the front rack position. The athlete will then press the barbell overhead using a strict press, push press, push jerk, or split jerk. Athletes must wait for a down command from their judge to ensure the rep is counted. A repetition will be complete when the athlete is locked out overhead with full extension of the knees, hips, and arms.
Axle clean and press (x2): The axle bar will start on the ground the athlete will lift the loaded bar from the ground to the shoulders. Belts will be allowed and the athlete may clean to the belt and then to the shoulders in the front rack position. The athlete will then press the barbell overhead using a strict press, push press, push jerk, or split jerk. Athletes must wait for a down command from their judge to ensure the rep is counted. A repetition will be complete when the athlete is locked out overhead with full extension of the knees, hips, and arms.
Log Clean and Press (AMRAP): The log will start on the ground the athlete will lift the loaded log from the ground to the shoulders. The athlete will then press the log overhead using a strict press, push press, push jerk, or split jerk. Athletes must wait for a down command from their judge to ensure the rep is counted. A repetition will be complete when the athlete is locked out overhead with full extension of the knees, hips, and arms.
Allowed: Grip shirts, chalk, knee and elbow sleeves, lifters, belts, and wrist wraps.

Athletes will start with hands on the box, upon go command, the athlete runs 60' down to the first box touches the box, and runs back 60' to the start position. The athlete will pick up the sandbag carrying it 60' to the box and then run back to the farmer's handles and carry them 60', once the tip of the handles crosses the finish line, the athlete may put the farmer's handles down. After the farmers carry, the athlete will grab the sandbag to return to the starting line and do the same with the farmers. The time stops when all implements have crossed the start/finish line. All implements must be carried.
