About This Competition

This competition is a CO-ED, 2 person comp. for the Novice and Intermediate divisions.  

MASTERS DIVISION will have the same two divisions!  The combine age of the two athletes must be 80 years old or older on the day of the competition.  ID will be asked for at the competition during registration.  (example; If the Male athlete is 46 years old then the Femal athlete must be at least 34 years old.

STANDARDS:

INTERMEDIATE (BOTH REGULAR AND MASTERS DIVISIONS) Should be able to do pull-ups; Double unders; HSPU; dips; overhead squats; rope climbs. MAX METCON WEIGHTS: Snatch 135/95; C&J; 185/125; Deadlifts 315/245.  The intermediate division WILL NOT HAVE: Muscle ups; chest to bar pull ups; strict HSPU; pistols.

NOVICE DIVISION: WILL NOT HAVE: pull ups; hand stand push ups; overhead squats; dips; double unders.  If there are any workouts a team can not complete as written, we will scale that workout down to their skill level however, that team will not be able to score any higher than those who completed the workout as written so everyone can come out and play yet still be fair!  MAX METCON WEIGHTS: Snatch 95/65; C&J 135/95; Deadlifts 225/145.

Top 5 in each division will compete in a finals workout!

Tie break will go by a teams highest finish in all workouts including the finals; then continue to go to the next highest place...

There will be no refunds!

Teams will be allowed to change divisions until the Monday prior to the event (the same day registration closes).

Workouts

AT GO ATHLETES WILL COMPLETE:  IN ANY ORDER AND PARTITIONED IN ANY WAY, THE FOLLOWING:

60 TANDEM SINGLE DB HANG C&J'S INTERMEDIATE 50/35 AND NOVICE USE 35/25 DB'S.

60 CAL ROW

60 BOX JUMP OVERS (NOVICE CAN STEP UP) BOTH FEET MUST TOUCH THE TOP OF THE BOX

60 PULL UPS (NOVICE COMPLETE RING ROWS SET AT 40 INCHES.

** NOVICE PERFORM 50 REPS OF EACH

*** OTHER THAN THE DB C&J'S, ONE ATHETE WORKING AT A TIME.  FOR THE DB C&J'S THE TANDEM PART IS THAT THEY ARE TOGETHER AT THE TOP OF THE JERK.  Athletes can switch arms any time they want!

FINALS WILL BE A 6 MINUTE AMRAP

AT 3.2.1 GO TEAMS WILL TAKE TURNS WORKING THROUGH AS MANY ROUNDS AND REPS OF THE FOLLOWING:

3 WALL WALKS TO 10 INCH TARGET (NOVICE GOES TO A 30 INCH TARGET)  Start and finish these on the ground with chest and thighs on the ground at the same time (open standards).

6 HSPU (NOVICE PERFORM BOX PUSH UPS MEN ON 20 INCH BOX AND WOMAN ON 24 INCH BOX)

9 SAND BAG SQUATS (BAG ON SHOULDER/BACK) NOVICE PERFORM 9 REPS AND CAN HOLD AT CHEST.  SAND BAG WEIGHTS ARE 100/70 FOR BOTH DIVISIONS.

50 DOUBLE UNDERS  (NOVICE 50 SINGLES)

** AFTER THE 40 D.U. PARTNERS WILL SWITCH 

200 METER TANDEM SLED DRAG 180 LOADED (NOVICE 135 LOADED) TO THE SAND BAG…

200 METER SANDBAG RUN (CARRY ANY WAY) 100/70 (EACH PERSON) (SAME WEIGHT FOR NOVICE) INTO THE GYM…

40 SANDBAG AND FOLLOW OVER THE BOX (40 INCH) STACKED BOXES (SANDBAG GOES OVER FIRST THEN THE PERSON MUST FOLLOW AND BOTH FEET MUST CONTACT THE TOP OF THE BOX) (ATHLETES MAY SWITCH ANY TIME THEY WANT UNTIL 40 REPS COMPLETED)  NOVICE DOES 40 DOUBLE DB 35/25 BOX STEP OVERS (ONE PERSON WORKING AT A TIME SWITCH WHENEVER NEEDED) 

TIE BREAK IS THE END OF THE BOX OVERS!!!

ATHLETES WILL HAVE 6 MINUTES FOR EACH ATHLETE TO HIT THEIR HEAVIEST COMPLEX.  ATHLETES CAN TAKE AS MANY ATTEMPTS AS NEEDED AND CAN GO IN ANY ORDER BUT ONLY ONE ATHLETE WORKING AT A TIME.  CLIPS MUST BE ON THE BAR.  ATHLETES CAN HELP EACH OTHER LOAD/UNLOAD.  THE LAST ATTEMPT MUST BE STARTED BY THE 9 MINUTE MARK BUT DOES NOT NEED TO BE FINISHED BY THE 6 MIN MARK.  Barbell complex=

1 Clean from the ground +

1 Shoulder to overhead +

1 Hanging clean +

1 Shoulder to overhead.

** CLEANS CAN BE ANY KIND (POWER/SQUAT)

** S2OH CAN BE ANY KIND (STRICT/PRESS/JERK/SPLIT)

** NO RESETTING, IF YOU MISS THE S2OH YOU MUST START THE COMPLEX OVER AGAIN.
