About This Competition

This event will feature three age-group divisions, with team averages of 35-44, 45-54 and 55+ and each team will be made up of two males and two females. Two Categories Scaled and Pro.

Mark your calendars for April 11th 2026—we’re taking things up a level and hosting this competition at a larger venue than our individual Masters New Zealand event. We’re thrilled to announce that Westlake Boys High School will be our home for this Inaugural Teams competition.

This will be an outdoor event, and whether it’s rain or shine, we can’t wait to deliver an unforgettable day for all of our Masters athletes. We’re looking forward to seeing your teams come together, take on the challenge, and showcase the very best of our Masters community.

Flow:

All athletes will start together holding three bands, on the count of 1,2,3 GO, all 4 athletes will round around the marshelled coned area, once a lap is completed, ONE athlete will drop off removing one band and the THREE remaining athletes will complete a SECOND Lap, again ONE athlete will drop off and remove one band. The TWO remaining athletes will complete a THIRD lap before the next and Final athlete drops off and completes the final lap. TIme is taken when the final athlete returns to the judge.

WOD 3 - BEFORE YOU SPEAK COFFEE - JELLY WORMS

AMRAP 15

35 x 2 Person WORM STO (2)

*2 x 10m Sync Walking Lunge (4)

25 x 2 Person WORM SQUATS

15 x 2 Person Worm Clean and Jerk

Athletes may SWAP in and out how they choose.

Two athletes on the worm at a time, while 2 Athletes Rest - swapping as you like.
All four Athletes Synchronised walking lunge - all Knees MUST touch the turf at the same time and ALSO at the top of the lunge
All four athletes must cross over the line for the 10M to be completed before turning and returning back to the start to complete 20M.

WOD 4 - SOLID STRENGTH - DONT DROP THE BAR

VARIATIONS

SCALED: NONE

SCORE: Combined heaviest succesful 3 rep lift of all 4 athletes.

BARBELL must start empty for both Males and Females at the start of the five minutes.
Athletes may assist loading the bar.
Athletes to tell the judge what they are lifting before they are lifting.
If an athlete fails a lift but the bar does not hit the pads they may reattempt that lift.
If the barbell hits the pads this is a no lift.
Males use a 20kg bar and Females use a 15kg bar.
The BARBELL must not travel below the knees for the rep to count
