Italian Showdown 2023
About This Competition
Beginners at their very first experience, intermediate competitors and elite athletes play side by side on the same game floor… It’s much more than a race, it’s a fest for thousands of fitness enthusiasts.
No qualification, no elimination
The Italian Showdown will take place on June 2-3-4 at the Rimini Expo Center with RiminiWellness, the international event dedicated to fitness, sport and movement.
- No online qualification: just register and take to the field live against your peers in three ability levels.
- No elimination and no cut: you can give your all and prove yourself until the final workout, without the risk of being eliminated for a test gone wrong.
Categories and standards
Whatever your ability level and age, you can compete live in the right category for you. To make sure you choose the category that best suits your level of fitness, refer to the following indicative standards:
- Experience (18 years old and over): you don’t have all the skills, usually do Scaled workouts and you like to compete to test yourself; in a workout you are able to move loads of at least 25/40Kg and perform Knees to Chest at the bar. NO Pull up, NO Toes to bar, NO Handstand, NO Double Under.
- Intermediate (18 years old and over): you already have almost all the skills, usually do Rx workouts and you like to compete to overcome your limits; in a workout you are able to move loads of at least 40/60Kg and perform Pull up, Toes to bar, Handstand Push up and Double Under. NO Muscle-up, NO Handstand Walk.
- Elite (18 to 34 years old): you already have all the skills, always do Rx workouts and you can compete against the best athletes; in a workout you are able to move loads of at least 60/80Kg and perform Muscle-up, Chest to bar, Toes to bar, Handstand Push up, Handstand Walk and Double Under.
- Master (35, 40, 45, 50 years old): like the Elite, you have all the skills and you are able to compete against the best athletes of your age; in a workout you are able to move loads and perform movements appropriate to your age, according to the Age Group standards of the CrossFit Open.
ATTENTION: for the choice of the Master category, what matters is the age you turn in the year 2023. For example, if you turn 40 this year, your category is Master 40, regardless of the day and month you are born.
