About This Competition

Proudly presented by Orana Air, The Central West Big Stomp is back for the second year!

Join us in Dubbo, NSW for a 2-day partnered fitness competition featuring Male/Male and Female/Female divisions.

Three divisions mean there’s something for everyone, no matter your experience or skill level:

  • Advanced: Males
  • Advanced: Femlaes
  • RX: Males
  • RX: Females
  • Scaled: Males
  • Scaled: Females

Saturday

  • Gates open: 8:30 am
  • Check in: 8:30 am - 9:15 am
  • Welcome and Brief: 9:30am
  • Workouts: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm

Sunday

  • Gates open: 7:00 am 
  • Workouts: from 7:30 am - 12:30 pm

Competition Format

  • Day 1: 3 workouts
  • Day 2: 2 workouts

Most workouts will be released prior to close of registration. Keep an eye on our Instagram page.

Based on feedback from last year's event, male and female teams will now compete in separate divisions—no mixed-gender rankings.

What’s on over the weekend:

  • Recovery Zone – full access for all athletes
  • On-site food and beverages including breaky on Sunday morning
  • Kids’ zone with a jumping castle

🗓 Registrations close Friday, 19 September at midnight.

Workouts

Scaled Division

3 rounds for time:

300m run

20 burpees over DB (shared)

20 DB/KB squats (synchro)

with a 14 min cap

 

Partner 1 has a DB 15/10kg

Partner 2 has a KB 16/12kg

 

RX Division

3 rounds for time:

400m run

20 burpees over DB (shared)

40 DB/KB squats (synchro)

with a 14 min cap

 

Partner 1 has DB 22.5/15kg

Partner 2 has KB 24/16kg

 

Advanced Division

3 rounds for time:

400m run

20 burpees over DB (shared)

40 DB/KB squats (synchro)

with a 14 min cap

 

Partner 1 has DB 30/22.5kg

Partner 2 has KB 32/24kg

Partners may swap KB and DB during workout.

Scaled Division

For time:

40 snatches (30/20kg)

40 knee raises (synchro)

200 single unders

40 ring rows (synchro)

40 snatches

with a 14 min cap

 

RX Division

For time:

40 snatches (50/30kg)

40 TTB (synchro)

200 double unders

40 pull ups (synchro)

40 snatches

with a 14 min cap

 

Advanced Division

For time:

40 snatches (60/40kg)

40 chest to bar (synchro)

*snatches and double/single unders may be broken up however the athletes choose.

*Athletes will have 1 min at each lift and 30 sec transition period between lifts. Athletes will nominate a max lift prior to event if they intend on making it to the end of the ladder.
