About This Competition
Lunatic Fitness - Red Line Games
When: Saturday 20th January 2023
Where: MoreCore Gym, Unit 1 Forge Lane Enterprise Estate, Saltash, Cornwall, PL12 6LX
What: Same-sex pairs Strength & Fitness Competition.
Each team will take part in 6 events over the course of the day. The events will be single modality tests including; 2x Weightlifting Events, 2x Monostructual Events, 2x Gymnastic Events.
All levels of compeitors are welcome to come and take part. It will be an inclusive competition with all events and standards being released weeks before the day of competition.
Depending on number of entries, each division may be split down into a Lightweight and Heavyweight sub division. This will be done on registration at the venue.
There will be cash prizes for winners of each division.

Workouts
Event 1 is a One Rep Max - Ground to Overhead.
It will be a rising bar format. Each team mate will have 3 attempts to establish a max score.
Score will be the combined weight of both team members heaviest successful lifts.
Any type of Clean / Jerk / Press / Snatch is allowed.
An attempt will start when the bar leaves the floor and will finish when either, the athlete hits a good lift and gets the down command from a Judge, or, when the barbell touches the floor again.
Event 2 is for maximum points. Each team will have a 3 minute window to accumulate as many points as possible on a Pull Up bar. Points are awarded as follows...
Banded Pull Up = 1 Point
Pull Up = 10 Points
Chest-to-bar Pull Up = 100 Points
Bar Muscle Up = 1000 Points.
Teams can swap movements however they like throughout the workout (teams must make the judge aware what movement they are intending to complete).
Teams can swap members on the Pull up bar however and whenever they like.
Event 3 is Assault Bike calories for time. Male teams will need to accumulate 140 calories. Female teams will need to accumulate 100 calories.
Work can be split between the team however you like. There is a 6 minute time cap for this event. Score will be time taken to complete the required amount of calories, or the number of calories completed within the time cap.
Event 4 is Deadlift for reps. Both team members will receive 60 seconds where they must complete maximum reps on a barbell of their choice.
Male teams choose from 100kg / 150kg / 200kg barbells.
Female teams choose from 70kg / 105kg / 140kg barbells.
A successful number of reps on a heavier barbell will beat all the reps performed on a lighter barbell. However, both teammates must lift on the same barbell and perform at least one successful rep in order for the score to be valid.

Sumo stance.
Touch & Go reps.
Dropping the barbell.
Lifting Hooks.
All straps & supportive kit allowed.
Event 5 is ‘Death By’… Burpee box jump over.
Teams will start by completing 5 reps within the first minute and continue to add 1 rep each minute until they are unable to complete the required amount of reps within the minute window.
Score for this workout will be number of rounds completed + any reps completed in the minute they fail to complete.
Male teams will jump over a 24inch box. Female teams will jump over a 20inch box.
Throughout this event, one team member will be working and one team member will be resting. Once the working member begins a round, they must complete that round before being able to swap out at the end of the minute window.
Teams can swap working / resting members however they need to. (You do not need to swap each minute if you don’t want to)
Red Line Games - Event 6. Eliminator.
Event 6 is Rowing intervals for time. The fastest teams in each round will progress to the next round. Each category will run like this…
MALE
Round 1 = 16 teams
Round 2 = 10 teams (fastest 10 from Round 1)
Round 3 = 5 teams (fastest 5 from Round 2)
FEMALE
Round 1 = 13 teams
Round 2 = 10 teams (fastest 10 from Round 1)
Round 3 = 5 teams (fastest 5 from Round 2)

Round 3 = 2 teams
Team mates can swap on the rower as many times as they wish throughout the event. Once you have been eliminated from the event, wherever you placed in that round will be your placing this event. All times will be logged throughout the 3 rounds, and if there are any podium teams split on points at the end of the day - the combined total of all 3 rounds in this event will be the tie breaker to decide who comes out on top.
