About This Competition

Battle Of The Box is now releasing an individuals competition! We are the ONLY competition that offers events for the novice AND elite!

January 13th & 14th 2023 at Thanksgiving Point, the battle for fittest individual in Utah will begin!

ATHLETE CHECK IN WILL BE FROM 3:30pm-4:30pm. YOU MUST BE CHECKED IN BY 4:45pm TO PARTICIPATE. Our first event will begin at 5:00pm. Saturday, Event 2 briefing is at 6:40am and Event 2 will begin at 7am SHARP.

We will have 3 divisions:

-RX

-Intermediate

-Scaled

*You can find the division standards under the registration of each division*

We will have 4 WODS with a finalist for the top 4 individuals in each division. Workouts will be released week of October 5th, so that you have ample time to train. 

No Refunds UNLESS Utah experiences another lockdown on the date of event. In this case, your registration fee will go to the next competition held in July. (excluding the processing fee taken by Competition Corner.)

If you are unable to compete, you can transfer your spot to a friend.

For time - 12 minute time cap

21 - Calorie Bike

21 - Back Squats 205/145 - 185/135 - 115/85

15 - Calorie Ski Erg

15 - Front Squats 185/135 - 155/115 - 95/65

9 - Calorie Bike & Ski Erg - (Athlete chooses the order)

9 - Overhead Squats 135/95 - 115/85 - 45/35

Atheltes will take the bar from ground and place on back by any means necessary.

Athlete chooses which machine they want to complete first on their final round.

 

For Load - 6 Minute Time Cap

4 Deadlifts

(max weight, one attempt)

3 Hang cleans

(max weight, one attempt)

2 S2OH

(max weight, one attempt)

1 Thruster

(max weight, one attempt)

 

You’ve gotta strategize this one!!

Athletes have 6 minutes to complete all lifts.

Starting with deadlifts, athletes have one attempt to complete 4 consecutive reps at the heaviest weight possible. Then one attempt at Hang cleans, 3 consecutive reps at the heaviest weight possible, and so on. The weight must either stay the same from one movement to the next or decrease.

IF the athlete does not complete a lift, or fails mid rep, a zero is taken for that specific lift.

Score will be an accumulation of total weight moved.

25 Chest To Bar Pull Ups - Pull ups - Ring Rows

-Athletes have 15 minutes to complete the work

-Toes to bar/Pull ups Combo for RX: 1 toes to bar directly into 1 pull up without dropping from the rig. 

The top 5 athletes from each division will compete in this event.

*Rope climb standards; RX = 15 ft. legless; Int. = 15 ft. standard climb; Scaled = stand to ground to stand (2)

*Objects for the shuttle run must be carried (however athlete desires); but can be taken to the other end in any order. 

Objects will be the same weight across divisions.

- 1 70 lb. DB

- 2 45 lb. plates (must be carried at the same time)

11 ft/10 ft targets

Every division will be using the same weight for wall ball shots 20/14.

The targets will be set 11 feet for males and 10 feet for women throughout all divisions. Let's challenge ourselves!

Scaled will complete same number

of jumpropes but single under rather than double unders.
