About This Competition

What: An Individual CrossFit Competition 

When: July 19th-20th 

Where: CrossFit Wild West Lubbock, TX 79423 

Divisions: RX - Intermediate - Masters 40+ - Scaled 

 

Our annual Individual Compeitiion

3 workouts; a floater; and a final for top athletes in all divisions. 

 

We will have an area designated for an athlete "tent" area so be sure to bring a canopy and anything else that you may need to keep you cool durning the weather in July. 

 

We will release workouts closer to the date of the competition but stay locked into details from our Instagram page @crossfitwildwest

Flow: Athletes will begin on their starting mat. At the call of GO, athletes will move forward to complete their assigned gymnastic reps then BSO. Complete in this fashion until completing the last 15 BSO. Rest no less than 1:00 before starting the next for time piece.

Flow: Athletes will start at their box. Barbells will be on the rack, loaded to assigned weights. At the call of GO, athletes will move forward to their barbells and begin their back squats. Athletes may rack and re-rack as many times as necessary. Once BS are completed, athletes will move to their box and begin working on BJO, RX flipping the box at 15 reps. Once the last BJO is completed the athlete will then move back to the rack to complete their STO. Once STO are completed, time is called for Dusk (score 1). Athletes then have the rest of the time to then max on a STO and then BS. Dawn (score 2) will heaviest STO (score 3) will be heaviest Back Squat.

Flow: Athletes will start standing behind their rower with the monitor on. At the call of GO, athletes will strap into rower and complete their assigned row cals. Once row cals are completed, athletes will move to the left side of their rower to begin their burpees. Athletes will burpee, jump over rower twice, and perform all burpees in this manner. Upon completion of that round of burpees, athletes will run to the 225’ mark where their DBs will be sitting. Athletes will lunge 75’ to the first cone, set the DBs down and run back to their rower for round 2. Flow will remain the same for the second and third round, lunging towards the rowers. 

If athletes complete before the 15:00 mark, they rest in time remaining. At 15:00, Vol 2 will begin. Athletes will begin on the starting line on track, at the call of GO they will run one lap around the park. Once they make it back around, they run to their DBs and carry them back to the 225’ mark. Upon completion of the farmer carry, athletes will set them down and sprint back to their rowers for completion of Vol 2

Flow: Athletes will begin standing just in front of ski erg platform. At the call of GO, athletes will begin on the ski erg and complete 60 calories for men and 50 calories for women. Once finished, they will move to their wall walk area and perform the division standard for wall walks.

 

RX = wall walk + Wall Facing HSPU

Int/ Masters = Wall walk (open standards)

Scaled = Wall walk to scaled tape line

Flow: Athletes will start at their bike. At the call of GO, athletes will complete 8 squat cleans and 8 TTB or modified TTB. Perform in this fashion decreasing by one rep each round. Once the first set of 4 is completed they then move to their Echo bike and complete their assigned calories before climbing back up the ladder. Time is called when athletes finish last 8 TTB and return to their bike.
