About This Competition
The Phoenix is a co-ed partner competition created for Intermediate and Scaled athletes. This event is designed to be challenging and fun for the athlete with competitive experience as well as those wanting to try their first competition!
Teams of 2 (1 boy + 1 girl) will take on three events throughout the day. The top 4 teams in each division will advance to the finals.

Intermediate Athletes are able to do the majority of movements, including double unders, box jumps, and toes to bar. They also can move a 60/40# DBall, 125/85# barbell in most movements and a 35/25# dumbbell in all movements. This is not a competition for fire breathers.
Scaled Athletes are able to do most movements, including jump rope singles and hanging knee raises. They also can move a 30/20# DBall, 75/55# barbell in most movements and a 25/15# dumbbell in all movements.

Is there an age limit to compete?
Yes. With parent’s signature you can compete from age 13 upward.
What should I bring?
For the workouts you must bring a jump rope.
There will be an athlete area just outside the bay doors. Bring tents, chairs, towels, blankets, food, water, basically anything to make you comfortable between workouts.
Parking
Participants will receive an aerial map with marked designated parking around the building.
Refunds & Athlete Changes
No refunds. In the event an athlete is unable to compete, no matter the circumstance, you may sub however we must be notified via email prior to the event info@crossfitsochac.com
The new team members will need to complete a waiver.

Max Clean
Partners will work during the first part to accumulate as many points as possible by completing any of the three lifts in any order at the prescribed weights.
When time is called, a prescribed rest period will begin. In the second part partners will each work to achieve a max clean.

One partner will row for calories while the other partner completes as many reps as possible of the prescribed DB snatches, DB thrusters, and burpees to plate complex, switching every 2 minutes until time expires.
