MoCo Throwdown 2022
About This Competition
The MoCo Throwdown is back!!! We had a blast in the first MoCo Throwdown in 2019, but thanks to COVID, we held off from holding another...until now!!!
This year we will have teams of 2 F/F or M/M with two divisions of RX and Intermediate.
New this year, we will have a Masters category of 40 and up. If you are in this Masters category, you can still sign up for RX or Intermediate, but you will note your age during your registration and your scores will be counted with the other teams in the Masters category in whichever division you signed up for. So you can still do the workouts at your level and compete with others your age!! *BOTH PARTNERS MUST BE ABOVE 40 TO COUNT AS MASTERS!!
Pricing
Early bird price: $150 per team (Early bird special goes from March 17th to April 17th 2022)
Regular Team price: $200
We will have athlete gift bags with athlete t-shirts and goodies from our sponsors. As well as some sweet prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in all categories!
No Refunds. In the case of an extenuating circumstance you can contact the event organizers and a refund will be determined by all event organizers.
Standards for RX and Intermediate
If you can RX majority of WODs at your home gym and most CrossFit benchmarks, sign up for RX
If you can RX a few WODs at your home gym, a couple CrossFit benchmarks, or you're fairly new to CrossFit, sign up for Intermediate.
Workouts
We will begin releasing WODs at the end of March 2022. There will be 3 WODs with the top teams in each category competing in a final WOD to determine 1st, 2nd, 3rd places.
Each WOD will have full description and standards when released.

Workouts
Floater Scores
15 minute AMRAP - Max Calorie Component
Score will be as many reps as possible with a 5 minute time cap. The workout is follow the leader style, You go, I go.
15 minute AMRAP - AMRAP component
40 Calorie Buy In with a partner dead hang from the pull up bar. Then with time remaining, partners will complete an AMRAP of 30 Partner Deadlifts and 20 Synchronized Bar Facing Burpees. Judges will record the time teams finish calories as a tie breaker. Score will be total rounds + reps with calorie time as a tie breaker if necessary.
Workout #2 is a chipper with partners breaking up the work however they choose. Complete the workout in the fasest time possible. Tie breaker will be the time each team finished the 20 Bar Muscle Ups/20 Pull Ups.
Teams will accumulate a heavy 3 rep max thruster between partners. The first partner will start by completing prescribed number of Toes to Bar, then attempt their 3 Thrusters. Then the next partner will do their Toes to Bar and their 3 Thrusters. Partners do not have to do the same weight, each partner can load weight for the other partner and attempt their own individual weight.
