About This Competition

 

Welcome to Fitness Alley's Twilight Throwdown!

The Twilight Throwdown is an outdoor Crossfit competition, competing in pairs with two divisions, Opens and Advanced. There will be 3 categories per division - Female/Female, Male/Male and Female/Male (mixed).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

We're doing something different you don't see at other local competitions. We're starting just after lunch and finishing into the twilight! 

Time: 12.30pm - 7.30pm

Where: Vikings Rugby Club (competition will be on the field)

33 Swan st Wollongong 2500

When: Saturday 4th of February 2023

Divisions: Opens & Advanced

Pairs teams: F/F - M/M - F/M(mixed)

Registrations are limited and NOW OPEN

Movement standards and workouts will be released weeks in advance so you know what to prepare for.

Competitors will be tested across 4 scored events with cash prizes and other goodies announced as we get closer to the throwdown.

There will be a live DJ adding to the party atmosphere, foods trucks from local legends 2 Smokin Barrels slingin' texan BBQ, Tresjefes Mexican food truck and Delish Acai (acai bowls) just to name a few. Keep an eye out for more announcements on our instagram page!

We want the Twilight Throwdown to be quality over quantity so we have capped every division to 16 pairs, once sold out the numbers are final so get in quick and claim your spot. There will be plenty of room for spectators to enjoy the afternoon cheering on their mates!

We look forward to seeing you all throw down in the twilight!

*REFUND POLICY - refunds will only be available strictly due to COVID-19 event closure of not being able to run. If the event was cancelled due to COVID-19 lockdowns or sporting event cancellations, then all participants will be offered a post-poned registration or refund. NOTE: Refunds will not be given for any other reason i.e injured, medical emergencies, can't come etc. ONLY if due to the complete closure of the competition due to government guidelines. You are welcome transfer your rego to replace yourself in the same division and category up until close of registration, Tuesday 24th of January 2023.

60/55/50 HSPU (or 90/85/75 Hand Release Push Ups)

*Every 2min, complete 20 unbroken Double Unders or Single Unders

Max reps Sandbag Cleans 68/45kg until the 3 minute round finishes. 

Athletes will continue this workout sequence for 4 rounds, accumulating max reps Sandbag Cleans.

 


Opens athletes will perform 

6 Power Cleans 50/35kg

6 Hang Squat Cleans 50/35kg

6 Front Squats 50/35kg 

3 Chest to Bars or 6 Pull-ups or 9 Burpees

4 Toes to Bar or 8 Knee Raises

10 Ring Rows

Max reps Sandbag Cleans 45/30kg until the 3minute round finishes.

Athletes will continue this workout sequence for 4 rounds, accumulating max reps Sandbag Cleans.
